Bury your spare tire 3' down, laying flat.
That way you don't have to carry something extra.
Don't forget to hook to it before filling the hole...
BTW, this isn't meant to be funny. It works pretty well, I've had to do it on occasion to hold my truck back when winching another 5-ton.
I have a good 400A manual transfer unenclosed switch you can have for the shipping from 85139. You would have to get an NEMA 3 box if used outdoors, NEMA 1 if indoors.
One might be ahead, just buying a bunch or AR500 plate, a 300A stick-arc, a plasma cutter and go for it.
Build a drivetrain based on deuce or 5-ton parts, decent powerplant, eTc.
Copy the basic look, 99 out of 100 won't know the difference.
It would probably be just as "hard" as a real one...
As built, the Goat had a special aluminum alloy Detroit 3-53 engine, rather than usual cast iron. This enabled the weight balance from fore to aft necessary in swimming.

There is a special floor dimmer button with twin circuits for service drive and IR drive.
Usually fed thru a SPDT toggle switch on the dash, that fed from the BO Drive ckt in the light switch.
Having had numerous 2-stroke Detroits in my life, I had to clean 'em up regularly.
I found 1:1 Diesel fuel and Dawn liquid did the job.
This makes an emulsion, so keep shaking a bit in a trigger spray bottle or garden sprayer so it doesn't separate. The fuel cuts into the grease, the soap...
We're always optimistic about load vs. genset output. Starting motors can pull up to 600% of running current. Smaller plants need to be chosen wisely so as not to cause brownouts when things inductive fire up.
10kW wouldn't cut a home out here in Summer/Hell, as the AC will pull that much...
Ditch the ugly angle-irons atop the winch.
Cut a piece of 3/16 Alum diamond plate to just fit on top of the winch.
Paint, drill, & bolt on.
Does the strength needs, and gives you a place to stand when checking yer oil.
