Muffler
Bottleworks, I was wondering where you mounted the NAPA muffler. I bought one and I think its to big to put at the top. If possible could you post a picture? Thanks
Idea
Maybe you can mount two wide comfy seats on the back bumper. That way they won't have to climb on anything and protect the rear bumper from damage while backing up. The can also remind motorists to stay back 500 feet.
Insurance
I have Condif & Skully (MetLife) for $171 a year. Its full coverage ($15,000.00) replacement value and includes towing. There is a mileage limit and not to be used for commercial purposes. They would prefer it be stored inside but I told them its to big and they changed their...
brakes
Try opening the bleeders, if they release calipers ok. Step on brakes again until they stick. Loosen master cylinder end of rubber hoses. If they release then the problem is in the lines. Repeat process while moving back towards the master cylinder. Chances are you can discover...
Thanks for the info
Thanks Kenny for posting the link as well as the expert guidance on the TMs. I found just what I need, although it looks as if I will have to get a few more parts before tackling this job. Maybe you should have the title of Steel Solders Super Librarian or King of...
Brakes
Bjorn, I almost remember seeing a safety bulletin about separating the master cylinder vent line from the rest due to brake fluid contamination from something else hooked to the vent line or water. Am I dreaming? Thanks
Brakes
I have heard/read that the air packs have a tendency to stick if the trucks are not driven a lot. It might make sense (I am guessing) that if the master cylinder/ air pack sticking and not releasing then air would come out the line because the brakes are partially applied. You might...
Clinto
Ok Clinto I tried keeping your secrete for as long as I could but I couldn't resist with this post. Your MV (Mongrel Vehicle) has factory air. I saw you when last visited our fair city.
This time I am going to do it.
Gringeltaube thanks for the reminder, I had every intention of doing it then but just decided to keep pumping in the grease and live with it. Now its time to fix it once and for all. Is there any trick to removing the axle? Does it just pull out or is there...
Hard top
I too had the same trouble, I bought a good condition hard top but it appears to be to big for mine as well. If any one is looking for one let me know. I also wound up with a rusty brand new fender off of (I think a 5 ton) It has a part number painted on it.
Ok I have had enough of the clunky noise in the front end. Has anyone changed a set of King Pin Bushings? Also, how hard is it to change the front axle seal? I am tired of a grabby brake as well. Do I need any special tools and do you have to have a machine shop push in and hone the new...
Battery draw
Charge the batteries, disconnect and place a light in series (bottom contacts to post of battery attach one end of wire to side of bulb-24 volt- the other end to cable---leave other cable attached to battery). If there is a draw the light will light. Carefully disconnect one...
oil leak
If I am not mistaken there is oil pressure line which lubes the air compressor as well as some sort of drain line in that general area. Also, make sure the oil filler cap is not leaking and the oil running down the front of the engine. I would check very carefully before taking...
Car/Truck show
Nice looking truck, last year I entered my M35 in the Clintonville Cruise In. I won an award (Most hard not to notice) as well but never the honor of a free tire rotation. I am envious. Since we are in the same general area we should get together some time. My next event...
