Hi Bud, if I had the money I would buy it and add it to my shop but I don't see that happening unless I hit the lottery! If that were to happen your shop would be too small.(haha). You don't win if you don't play!
Tools I have a shop I need, this would be a good place to work if I didn't have so much stuff! Most of the stuff on the floors are for MV's so I can't get rid of them or even relocate them, that is too much trouble to get what you need when you need it. Thanks I need a bigger shop.
Thanks Zev, it has been a long hard project for me but I am pleased with the way it is coming out. The weather has been though to deal with lately and my back has been giving me fits but I must keep going I will have plenty time to rest when they lay me down. Thanks Warren
I got a little more done to the build! I ordered some Rapco Paint on June 29 and it is not here yet, due to the 4th I hope. I would have the sides painted by now if I had the paint. I did get the mud flaps and brackets painted and the drop sides primed and ready for paint, the spare tire clamp...
Good luck with trade school and the Russia and Check language ( I can't even spell it much less read it.) The green stuff is so additive and the Tan is also even though I prefer GREEN.
Looks Great! What kind of bed are you going to use? Have you drove it yet and how is the ride compare to the duals? I have had problems drilling the frame also even with a Hogan drill with rotobroch drill bits, I had to use a hardened drill bit and do them by hand (major PITA). Keep up the good...
Scar59, Thanks for the complement. The bed is 9'7" total and sticks out about 1" out the frame, I am getting some bumperettes from smittyjr355 to add to the rear. Preping the sides and tailgate for paint is going to be the hardest part of the build for me(I hate to paint). The sides are pretty...
I got the drop sides cut down and set on the bed along with the tailgate. I have to remove them to finish welding the side up and prep them for paint. I will also remove the mud flaps and prep them also. The 383 Rapco should be here on Wednesday but I doubt I will have everything ready for paint...
That is 5/8 plate with 2 - 9/16 and one 3/4" grade 8 bolts on each side with 4x4x1/4 tubing on the horizontal. I would guess it would be rated somewhere around 30,000lbs. it is totally seal welded not spot welded. I should have made a templet of the brackets but got in a hurry. I can remove the...
Hi rrr, I have some one my build thread 932A1 to 925A1 short bed. If you need any more let me know. It was a easy build, the hardest part was to drill a 3/4" hole on each side of the chassis. The 5/8 plate has 2 - 9/16 bolts and a 3/4" bolt on each side of the frame to secure it in place.
Well it is not a tractor anymore I will call it my Trucktor until I pick a name for it. I got the mud flaps on today and took a few pics, they will be removed and painted. I still need to cut the drop sides down to length then all that will remain is painting.(For now).
