MV Licensing in Michigan - What are the requirements?

Derby, Not sure what site you are talking about but I drove my Deuce off site at SANG. I assume you guys are talking about SANG because of being in Michigan. In fact, the guys at DRMO and the GL guys at the site have been very helpful. In Michigan you can drive a new vehicle home with no...

MV Licensing in Michigan - What are the requirements?

There is no millage limitation for the historical plate in MI. You only need to sign a statement that you will not use the vehicle for regular transportation such as to shows and events ETC. The SOS website has the provisions and the statement you must sign. I plated mine for $35 with an SF-97...

    Trimble GPS manual

That thing is old. We used them in the first Gulf War. They were so expensive that we only had one for an artillery battery. And that was in the 18th airborne corps. Back then the airborne had alot of money to buy gadgets. That being said I would love to have one for my truck.

Same here, althought I do read the stuff from the MVPA. Military Vehicles magazine is still the most entertaining. I love the calender also.

Mike, Is this what you were looking for? I am kind of lost on what you are actually looking for. Did you want a new Dashpad, the plastic cover, or the rug like covers? http://www.lmctruck.com/icatalog/bzc/0043.html

    Water as a fuel

To clarify my position. I am not saying that change does not occur. I am more commenting on the news article and the information that is presented on the man's website. I am not saying that innovation can't occur but I don't think this is the case with this man. On this particular point I am not...

    Water as a fuel

Alright. After some internet searching I have found out that his process is a variation on a process called brown's gas and it takes alot of energy to seperate the gases. Hear is a comment from a website I found. Comment by NEC member, Eric Kreig, on May 13, 2006 Ouch! - this is the kind of...

    Water as a fuel

Also noteworthy is that something can be patented even though it does not work. The patent office does not care if something works. They only care that you came up with something new that someone else has not patented. I do see that it says the car can run exclusively on water but it does not...

    Water as a fuel

I did watch it twice and now I have seen it three times. It never says he can run on only gas or water but not both. It only says his car is presently set up as a hybrid. Looking at the video I take away that he is running on gas and water, not water exclusively at the time of the video...

    CDL

Pretty much what I was saying Ryan. When you get a CDL then it opens a can of worms with regulations a private individual does not have to comply with. If I do not have a CDL it in effect says that I am not trying to do anything in a commerical capacity. If you have one then you have to prove...

    Water as a fuel

I would love to hear more about his patented electolysis process. There seemed like alot of fluff in the story. They also said the car was a hybrid gasoline water engine. They said how much water it takes for a 100 mile trip but it did not say how much gasoline it takes for that trip. I hate to...

    Where are the Aberdeen Reports?

He must be busy splicing a web cam to watch the weak hose on his truck.

    CDL

You have got it right Kenny. If I had a truck bigger than the Deuce I would copy off the state law as it pertains to this to show to anyone that stops me. My commercial guy hear said as long as you are not engaged in commerce than you have no problem. That being said I have seen alot of people...

    Are these 6.2 or 6.5

I thought about getting one of the cucv's that just went off bidding tonight. I thought it would be nice visiting my old base and stomping grounds. Then I remembered all the things I have to do and that took care of me wanting to take the trip.

    CUCV/blazer hard top

They are the only parts that don't rust and if they get damaged it is usually in a roll over that kills the rest of the blazer.

    Are these 6.2 or 6.5

Fort Campbell has several auctions coming up on GL that have multiple engines in crates. Some are lots of 12 some 8. It really seems like they want to get ride of them bad.

    CDL

Rizzo, You are good. As long as you are not using the vehicle for making money in any way you are OK with no CDL in MI. Chuck

    Water as a fuel

Mythbusters tonight had a show on all the old MPG boosting stuff. It included the vapor carb, the magnet on the fuel line and the hydrogen from water. None worked. They did try wvo in a mercedes and this was the only thing they said worked but they did say that when people figured it out you...
