The photo shows the truck pulling out of the area where we want to park the trailer. Up the bank and then back about 40'. The bank is fairly high (5 - 6' or so over about 20').
It'll just be a lot easier to push the 105 up backwards where the truck is leaving. I want to avoid bending the...
Deuce Wooden Reinforcement?
Bumping this thread with a twist. I want to put together a take on/take off reinforcement for my Deuce to maneuver the M105. I looked at the steel setup in this thread and photos http://www.steelsoldiers.com/deuce/42777-getting-creative-deuce-front-pintle-hitch.html...
"Do you have to thin the paint if your using an air gun?... HeavySteven"
Based on what I've read here and the way my trailer turned out with an HVLP gun on the previous page, the less it's thinned or mixed with Floetrol or the like, the rougher, more CARC like the finish gets. If you want...
Congratulations on a good investment. I did the same last summer. If your future is anything like my past, 60 - 90 days from now you'll own a Deuce.
Steve
Allow me to state my credentials to comment on your $ target and features:
1. I bought my 1st Deuce (actually 1st MV) last August totally blind to the hobby or truck. I read none of the excellent threads recommended above before I did it to advise my purchase. I paid for it without ever...
From our site: mtaswapmeet.com:
The MTA's 11th annual Swap Meet and Military Vehicle Show

I think the question is for me. Only Gillespie and Ben Moore Industrial.
My M105 in the post above is the BM Industrial Acrylic and is from 2 new gallons mixed from the formula. The only downside was the guy spraying who under-mixed it so that it dried between gun nozzle and surface, hence a...
One last thought: Does Gillespie have a European distributor that would simplify and cheap-i-fy this? They don't make it easy to contact them but Google has a phone number for them in TX.
Steve
SS sent me a notice of this post from Dudek but I don't see it on the site:
"I read that he sends orders. My friend from the U.S. (Chicago) can order this paint. I chose the option 4 gallons. Price 165$ it's all costs for paint and shipping? Enyone know? Is the paint is good? Write me. Dudek"...
Anybody try Army Jeep Parts Inc. Home page. Same paint, same numbers, no?
BTW: I spent a little time w/ our shipping people trying to figure out what's involved w/ shipping paint to Poland. We bumped into lots of words about EU hazmat regs and the like, and it would likely HAVE to go on a...
YEEEOWSUH! $896.31 + paint comes out to about $255/gal. + hazmat. I was a complete nit trying to match 24087 in Benjamin Moore but at those prices I could live w/ my truck being a bit off.
Steve
They did a blast 'n prime w/ undercoat but I provided a direct to metal acrylic instead so I'd get a finish color instead. The price was very good.
They're reputable and if I can't fix it without a lot of pain I think they'll do the right thing.
Nevertheless, I'd like to know what it is...
Removing Silvery Primer (???) Under Tire Shine?
The shop that sandblasted my M105 thought they were doing me a favor and put on some kind of tire shine. I wasn't thrilled but figured it would wear off quickly. When I 1st saw it, I commented and the office guy didn't say what it was but that...
Having one of these w/out bars, I used the part numbers in the thread and found this reference for replacement parts (w/ pictures):
http://www.kentool.com/img/Repair%20Parts%20and%20Accessories.pdf
It includes this:
31554 T54 T54-12 Bar & Assembly 31554-12
31554 T54 T54A Repair Kit for T54...
Leaving Rapco (or ArmyJeepParts.com - another Gillespie supplier) out of the comment but considering international shipping --
I don't know the availability of color matching in Poland, but have you considered getting a good sized sample swatch sent to you and having it mixed locally?
Just an...
Don't forget filters. There are a couple of threads on how NOT to get the drippin's all over everyplace. They tend to hold it if they're stock.
Waited long enuf' for someone else to post:
1. Welcome to the green addiction![thumbzup]
and
2.nopics
I can't believe I got to get that 2nd one...
