Need to know what these 60 amp alternators are and from what.

Just different vintages. Pretty much interchangeable. You might pull the back plate on the one and look for soot. That is a usual failure mode. DG

    My 1952 M135 Build

That's it! I've seen this mod on several old GMC NG trucks here in AZ. DG

    Steering adjustment

Your truck went thru rebuild at some time in it's life. That is how it inherited the power steering system from the 800-series trucks. It was a good modification, with better performance overall. There is an adjustment on the steering box, check with the TM's for that . Otherwise, go thru...

    My 1952 M135 Build

For the wobble, there was a MWO to join the bottom left and right rearward front spring towers with a steel bar, bolted on. DG

Has anyone used electrolysis for rust removal?

I bought a Harbor freight benchtop bead blaster, and did all the hardware and small parts that would fit. A blaster like that eats a lot of air, so a good-sized compressor is a good investment. Afterwards, I used rattle can red primer on everything. The finished assemblies were done in the OD...

    M817 Blinkers not Flashing

Dahli, I wasn't referring to you, rather the guy putting you on to the hidden fuse and cutting wires. DG

Need a bad 60 amp generator

Yours is a Leece-Neville. Most are Prestolite, and they have only one "on" terminal. I'll have to dig in my manuals to see what goes on your L-N. DG

Need a bad 60 amp generator

That alt is a different make than Prestolite, so the connections aren't the same as pictured above. The 14ga wire carries the "on" command from the master switch, and needs to be connected to the Alt via one of the small screw terminals. (NOT goround). DG

    M817 Blinkers not Flashing

A little off for April fools jokes. You might try doing a full continuity test on the turn signal switch. The contacts may have fused with the trailer short. DG

    Passenger side headlight, short

Probably an intermittent ground on wire 91. It will let both filaments light dimly on one or the other dimmer switch position. Fiddling with it may have got a ground going OK. DG

the multi-fuel engine on a Deuce

Used ATF is a great sub for Diesel. A transmission shop may give it away free. DG

    Opening up the rockwells…

I seem to remember those get torqued to some 600 foot-pounds. I do remember hanging my almost 200lbs on a 5-foot torque wrench to get there. DG

Hard Top or a Soft Top?

In our summer sun here, a canvas top will last just one year. At most, a metal top just fades a bit. DG

    Slave cable part needed

Btw, it's easier to leave the insert in the housing and push the pins in one at a time. Not that I haven't done a bunch of these... DG

    Slave cable part needed

Pushing those pins in the rubber support can be a chore. A dip in DOT3 brake fluid will make it a LOT easier and won't hurt the rubber. DG
