    Front Flexible brake lines

If you find those pressures let me know as I forgot to take my own advice. By the way I replaced my hoses because I had a brake that was slow to release. I tried everything I could think of to fix it and finally did so by cleaning up the mounting hole in the shoe with a rat tailed file and a...

    Front Flexible brake lines

HA! And women think that never throwing anything away is a fault. The part number of the ones that fit my truck is NAPA 4751. Not sure what it originally fit but the length and ends are correct. It would be a good idea to inquire as to the working pressures to see if it matches the originals.

    Front Flexible brake lines

I took my old ones into NAPA and they matched them up with some that they had on the shelf. I think I have the box around somewhere. Let me do a bit of searching and I'll post the number if I find it.

    The New Deuce

Thanks for the info. Now if I can only figure out how to buy something off of ebay or save up enough for Memphis Equipment.

    The New Deuce

I put a winch on my 35 and went to the expense of getting a number of big long bolts. After I installed then I saw another truck that had a winch on it and noticed that it had only a couple of long bolts (go through metal tubes/brackets) and the rest were all short bolts (hardened) that just...

    MV security

Has anyone run across a lockable door handle? If so, how close to original does it look? Thanks

    MV security

On the passenger side of the truck (I have a 70 model M35) there is a dimple in the firewall just above the floor. I drilled that out and installed a battery cut out switch in the firewall. I disconnected the positive feed wire from the starter and attached it to one side of the switch. I...

    Wheel seal

I have the same truck you do and was plagued by the same problem you are describing. It took me a while (and an Internet posting) to realize that the wheel bearings are NOT lubricated by the gear lube. I had put a couple seals in trying to stop the leak. It turns out the leak on my truck...

    Ball Joint

Thanks for the info. Sounds like an interesting job. Ken I have a question, how do you cut the grease groves. I don't have a lathe so I'll have to rig something up. Are the groves straight up and down or on a spiral? Is there someone who sells them with grooves? Thanks to everyone for...

    Ball Joint

Thanks for the welcome, if I understand you correctly the king pins are made onto the housing and the brass bushings are in the knuckle? To remove the knuckle do you unbolt the studs from the (as we use to call them banjo housing) or do you remove the bushings from the knuckle and you are able...

    Ball Joint

One of the front hubs on my deuce is a bit loose. I tried tightening the wheel bearing but no change so I am guessing that the ball joint (for lack of a better term) is worn. Is it a major job to do? Any special tools needed? Also, last year I replaced one of the boots and it seems to...

    locked up LDT 465 1D

If the engine didn't seize up due to no oil or overheating it might seized up due to head gaskets leaking. I had a tractor do this and I was able to get the engine loose by filling cylinders partially with liquid wrench and let sit a few days. I then put it in gear and rocked the tractor...
