Yeah, with what seems like 110% humidity. Can't blame you though, if you ain't used to it, then you ain't used to it and that's just fine. I would help you work on it if was anywhere near you.
Negative, mine is full size. Just take a look at some pics of bobbed trucks, then note that most have a 12 foot bed and eyeball it. I don't see why a normal bobber couldn't be chopped a bit more with some good eyeballing and fabbing. May not be doable, I'm not sure because I've not bobbed one...
Anytime man, just joined up here, and I don't have many posts, but that's only because I just decided to join a site. Lurked here for a good while though. Anytime you need a keen eye just ask. I have seen there are many excellent members here just like myself and I'm proud to be a part of this...
I use diamondcote, from one of my local auto paint supply places. Epoxy based and only 60 bucks per gallon including the hardener here. I'll see if I can get the stock or mix number next time I go out to the shop.
I like the o.d green. I use industrial diamoncote that I get from a local auto paint supply store. 60 bucks a gallon and its epoxy based. Tough stuff, and like everyone else says, you can go camo over it later.
X2. No need to tear that transmission apart. And you can probably get that snap ring from any transmission shop that deals in standard transmissions, not just automatics.

That's probably all it is then. I would replace the pilot bushing, and then run the engine for at least an hour at idle to see if the rear main is leaking before you reinstall the transmission. Just make sure that no flywheel bolts are left loose before you crank it. A worn pilot bushing can...
I would love to participate! Will let you know how everything goes on my end. I am very busy as I own my own business, but will certainly do my best to make time for this event. I value our veterans immensely.
Read all you can about the hh on here before you go and buy one man. A lot of times it's as simple as something being stuck/ corroded/ gummed up. No need to spend money if you don't have to. Hard enough to make an honest living anymore as it is.
Mjtracy, is it engine oil or trans oil you are leaking now? We need to know for sure because there are several different things that may have happened. As you see, some of us here think that the trans may have started leaking now.
I would be afraid that the severely sagging roof would cave in on me and give me tetanus or something. I mean, it looks neat, but I can't fathom how the roof doesn't peel off even at deuce highway speeds.
May have been a good idea to use some good quality r.t.v silicone sealant instead of just a paper gasket. Sometimes a paper gasket can't fill all of the gaps between two sealing surfaces all by itself.
