Congrats on a safe recovery. I too, have been reading up on these. Just when I was about to go to the dark side and get one, I figure out the bed is much shorter than an M101. Bummer.

    Broken Studs

There exists left hand twist drill bits. Often times just the bite of the bit will spin these things out. These blocks have always presented a problem in off road conditions. For some reason, the lifted arm made in the 80's disappeared from the market. Crossover is nice, much better. I...

As said, all good but the expense. I doubt that I would ever buy them. They are necessary for the low skill off roader who must have lockers. I'm a fan of th he Detroit NoSpin myself. If you understand it's functions and nuances, they do the job perfectly.

I did have one epic adventure. In 2003 I drove an M275A2 from S Fl to Cinci OH and back. Was 2568 miles. Did I mention that I had an M35A2 piggybacked on the 5th wheel?

Sure you could do a crane. A little pickup crane right inside the back. Let me ask you this. Do you have a crane mounted to your toolbox? Probably not. Consider this a rollaway tool box like Steve's yellow one. Heck, might even go A3 or M105 chassis since you drive the deuce mostest.

Stonepicker1 went from S Fla to Barstow to fetch a CUCV II driving a CUCV II. He eclipsed the 6000 mile mark on it.
