Operation: Ethel. Kendelrios M37 (re)build thread

My tire guy Steve sells for Southern Tire Mart at attractive rates. He has supplied me with 20" tubes & flaps for everything up to 14.00-20's. They also supply tire tools for doing lockring (split-rim, the wrong name anyway) wheels. Can ship those items needed anywhere in the USA...

    M105A2 Axle Spec/replacement suggestions

Pretty soon, there won't be any more stock M105 trailers... DG

    M105A2 Axle Spec/replacement suggestions

This begs a photo, M105's usually have a 6-bolt Budd hub just like that on a deuce & 1/2. DG

Operation: Ethel. Kendelrios M37 (re)build thread

Buy the right tools and learn to do your own lock-ring wheels. Not rocket science, just good aim with the duckbill and know where to hit it. Then pry it apart. Be ready to sweat and grunt a lot, but it is SO satisfying to get it done. DG

Operation: Ethel. Kendelrios M37 (re)build thread

Originally they had a vacuum booster built into the fuel pump to lessen the effect. DDG

    125 MPH Trucks in 1998

That race always looked like combat, with all the carnage but no OD green and a LOT faster. DG

Operation: Ethel. Kendelrios M37 (re)build thread

Beadblast all, paint and save all the good ones. Get a set of NF taps and do ALL the threaded holes in the truck before reassembly. The worst are usually those holding down the floor pan over the transmission. Dodge didn't do squat to prevent rust on these trucks, so it is up to you later...

Operation: Ethel. Kendelrios M37 (re)build thread

Those are LAV tires. Very nice, but rare today. I hope they are worth saving. PM me if you want to put a 100A alternator back in. Dennis

    Wood chassis/frame shims

Trucks have used that wooden spacer for 100 years, more-or-less. Anything with that track record is beyond question. So there! DG

    Red winch light?

50.000 lbs barreling down the road at 40 mph needed the attention of other drivers. Wreckers today look like rubber-tired christmas trees for all the lights... DG

    Fuel tank sender

One for the Mutt (M151) fits well and a lot more available. DG

Saw deuce with selectro locking hubs and air o matic power steering. Is it rare and any good?

Our local guard unit added air assist steering to several of their M35A2's, so I guess one could say "They came that way", but it wouldn't be totally correct. DG

Saw deuce with selectro locking hubs and air o matic power steering. Is it rare and any good?

Selectro's are all aftermarket. Rare at that, tho. Air-O-Matic steering was used on the M35E3, and available aftermarket as well. So if it an M35A2, nope. 73DG

    Red winch light?

That light is unique. IOW, it is the only one! AZ law even made the guard change their front-facing red light to amber on their wreckers. DG

    Common rim cross over

It was the common option, along with 8.25-20, 9.00-20 tube-type. DG

    Common rim cross over

I have 7 22.5 radial tubeless tires/wheels that fit the 6-bolt Budd. They came off of my '93 Ford F700. Would love to trade 'em for the GI jobs. Dennis
