I saw an ad for a non running M35 W/W, looks to be in decent shape body wise from the photo. No bows or tarp that I can see, and doesn't look like there's a soft top. It's also missing the grill. Of course the seller didn't give much info on why it wasn't running, but did say there was a...
I'm extending the front frame of my WO/W deuce. I have a 3 point lift boom (for a tractor) that I'm going to modify to fit on the front bumper shackles. I just have to cut off one of the tabs for the hitch pin on one side. I just have to work out a way to attach the top link attachment point...
Another note on recovery, if you are trying to recover a vehicle that has slid off the side of the road on a hill, and is in danger of sliding further down the hill, you WILL need TWO recovery vehicles. An MV with shackes on the bumper is easy, because you can just hook to those. Just hook to...
After looking at some pics of 818's, I'm thinking that's what it is, a right side tank. Anybody rigged up an aux. tank in the bed of a deuce? How did you plumb it in? That's what I'm thinking of doing. I think I'd mount it in the front center, and put fold up wood slats on top like the bench...
Ah true, that's what it looks like. (Just goes to show how busy I've been, I didn't even look at it that close) So I guess that would mean it would've gone on something with saddle tanks?
I finally had a chance to take some pics of the tanks, the first two are of the tank I bought, the third is the one on my deuce. The obvious difference besides the dimensions is the location of the pump and fittings. Are there any part numbers that I could look for? C'mon guys, one of ya's...
You could probably get a prefab unit that will slide right in, you won't have to reinvent the wheel. You should also take a look at putting in a Tri-Max CAFS unit. The only thing you'd need is power to the reel to make it work.
As for ROPS, get that done by a professional, don't just let...
That could be it. I think I'm gonna fix it up so I can use it as an auxilliary tank, or so I can put my clean WMO in it. It has the pump in it, and it's pretty clean. If the pump works, all it will need is a little rinse just to make sure there is no small grit in it.
