    What is this broken part?

I believe that would be a spring to keep your parking brake from dragging on the drum when released. Replacing should be pretty straighforward, loosen the bolts holding it on, replace the part, tighten down the bolts. The -24 manual that you can download off this site will have the part #...

    Cab/cargo cover

Yep, any "plastic" rope colored black should do. It may be harder to find. But I have also seen it in a brownish color that looks like slightly weathered hemp or manila rope. That wouldn't be technically correct, but most people wouldn't realize it was plastic.

    Storm Brewing

Fording depth aside, you should only ford where you KNOW the actual depth of the water. And even then, fast flowing water can still move your truck. If you hit a channel where the road has been carved away, you could be SERIOUSLY screwed. USE EXTREME CAUTION FORDING FLOOD WATERS!! It's not...

Pioneer rack, need pics of loaded tools

Yeah I know that, but I'm talking about them actually having to look throught the threads. :deadhorse: That would save me from having to skip past all of DH's beating posts.

Pioneer rack, need pics of loaded tools

Maybe the Mods should require new members to put the title into the search box for the first hundred posts before it can be posted.... That would save DH from having to beat on them, unless he just has a Function key that does it automatilcally....

    Air compressor filter

I'd just get some of the finer abrasive pads (like they use for scrubbing teflon pans) and cut out pieces to fit. that should at least work temporarily. Another alternative is to go to a small engine shop and see if they have any air filters that you can trim to size.

    Cab floor mats

I was thinking of using the thicker stall mats.

    Cab floor mats

I was thinking of doing that myself. What did you use to cut it? What side did you put on top, the diamond plate side or the slotted one?

    Looking for fender rubbers

I believe this is what he's looking for; NSN 2930-00-752-1981 part# 7521981 shield, radiator, L.H. NSN 2930-00-752-1983 part# 7521983 shield, radiator, R.H. The part shown in the pic is not the correct part, that looks like it would go around a radiator shroud for the fan. The pieces listed...

    M35 Rear Window

I bumped this post, I'm in the same situation. My window is toast so I'm looking for a replacement. Anybody seen anyone selling rear windows? Any commercial windows out there that will fit? Thanks.

    Wood species for racks

Pressure treated wood MIGHT last 30 years if faithfully maintained. 1x lumber is typically full of knots and has a tendancy to twist, bow and warp. You might be able to sort through a stack and find enough decent ones to put on, but there's still no guarantee they won't shrink and crack. The...

    Wood species for racks

http://www.steelsoldiers.com/deuce/73670-question-about-cargo-racks-troop-seats.html The powers that be will tell you that the search function is your friend. It is. Havind said that, any good hardwood should work, although oak is most likely what was used because of availibility and...

A restoration of my Deuce witha tip of the hat to vietnam

VERY NICE!! I'm going with the same color and lettering. I'm using Rapco spray cans as I'm doing it piece by piece. I like the LED's too.

    Wet Interior

The best I can figure is that the Army decided that since they weren't the Navy, and their vehicles don't have to float, it doesn't matter if they all leak like a sieve. :?

jerry can rack..where to buy cans?

There's a fuel tank in the classifieds for only $200. That's cheaper that buying Jerry cans and fabbing a bracket. 2cents
