Not a problem with the relay. The resistor uses its own resistance aling with the resistance of the glow plugs to reduce voltage to 12v. ANY variance in the glow plugs or the resistor will cause either low voltage, which means higher amps and burnout, or higher voltage and burnout....once one GP...
This is Bravo Sierra.....
When I drove my M934 from Ft. Bragg to Seattle, I specifically called my state's Commercial Vehicle Enforcement (WA)...Which said that private = private = NO CDL.... I then called every state in my planned drive back, NC, VA, W.VA, MD, PA, and they ALL said that if I...
Fri. was my first 'real' test for my mods, batts having sat for a couple months without charge, using my batt disconnect switch to remove ANY draw from ANY system..... and testing the O-rings I changed out on my fuel pump in terms of there not being any leaks causing a loss of prime.....

Personal preference, really.
If you can wire something simple like I did, it shouldn't be a problem.
This I will disagree with 147%... Modifying isn't 'hacking into'.... Yes, there are idiots, but then there are people who design their modifications, and do so with reliability in mind.

Had a guy I know whose light switch went out on him....
Seems everyone has problem with those electronic switches...
I'm thinking they were only designed to run with LEDs and people are running them with incandescent bulbs.
I removed the entire switch... ...
Then used a voltmeter to check outputs at each position.
I did have to remove the steering wheel to remove the locking pawl.....
I isolated Ign 1 and Ign 3 because it created a loop where the alternator was keeping the fuel solenoid actuated, not allowing it to turn off, hah. Make sure you do the same.
For what you want, sounds something like this...

Amazon has a dual voltage meter..... Less than $20.. I have one, need to install it.
Per SS policy, NOT an auction...

Easy to monitor each batt, front 12V and rear 24V combined.
With people asking $1k+ for hard tops, it's really hard NOT to just weld one up.. ****, even a shop would charge less than that.. couple hours plus materials....
I'm 6'2 though, so I don't know if I'd make it that tall.. I do have a 934 though, so it may work...
