I was told by DMV in Towns County that the standard procedure when you use a Serial Number instead of a 17-digit VIN is to place zeros in front of the S/N to make it 17 digits. I have no idea what you would do if the S/N was more than 17 digits. Probably very unlikely anyway.
I don't have to try to get my M35A3 titled, I was finally able to register it earlier, but it was illegally registered. Now I don't have to worry about having my title revoked like some have had happen. This was an incredible feat Swiss, Zout and others put forth getting this bill passed in...
Update: GEMS, the manufacturer, got back to me and said that they were out of stock but would make one for me. They didn't give me a price, but I declined. Delks finally got back to me and I bought a used sensor for $95.00. The leads out of the reed switch are only about 1/4 inch long and...
If you're driving on a 1,000 mile trip, you don't want to be running 45 PSI anyway. Even if the CTIS functions, turn it off and inflate the tires to 60 PSI. The truck will run a lot smoother and your tire and fuel mileage will increase. Don't run more than 60 PSI, though, as the wheels are...
I just received an e-mail from GEMS informing me that the sensor is still an active part manufactured by them. It isn't on their product list because no one has ever tried to buy any except the Army and Navy. They are now trying to get me a good price on one, knowing that I'm not the...
I received a quotation from WB Parts in Palm Bay, Florida for a new one at $268.00, which is too steep for me. I've gotten a lot of parts for MVs from WB in the past. They are high, but they often have parts no one else has and they have no minimum quantities. I think DH is right, it appears...
The fuel level sensor on my MEP003A genset failed, preventing me from using the auxilliary fuel input from my bulk diesel storage. I previously thought the problem was caused by a failed solenoid valve, but when I troubleshot the system I determined that the fuel level sensor had failed in the...
I don't understand how it could possibly be the slave receptacle causing his problem. He said earlier that it only shorts out when he energizes the starter. The cables to the slave receiptacle are connected directly to the battery via the battery cables. If the slave receptacle or slave...
I have an idea about Tigger's truck. How about asking for volunteers to go in together and buy it. We could then take it to the SSGR and try to sell it. It's much easier to sell an MV if there are a lot of MV enthusiasts around and Tigger's truck would mean something to a lot of guys at the...
I am literally sick at my stomach hearing the news about Tigger. He was one of the best people I've ever met, not just in SS. I remember helping him work on his jeep at the 2013 GA Rally. We talked quite a bit. He was a great guy and will be missed. Prayers go to Mathew and his family.
