Dave, if you are not out of town, you definitley need to come Friday night. One night is definitely better than not at all. That being said, good luck with your new job.
In Georgia, they are not supposed to issue a title for a vehicle that has been previously registered without a title, which sounds like your situation. If you can get an SF97, you can always try to get a title and see what happens. Perhaps pretend it hasn't already been registered, although...
I'm taking my XM1061E1 trailer to the sandblaster tomorrow morning. There is significant surface rust all over the trailer, including the bottom, but the trailer is in excellent mechnical condition. They will sandblast all of the rusty areas and simply rough up the good areas to help paint...
A friend of mine was running biodiesel in his almost new New Holland tractor. It worked great until it ate up some of the fuel lines and disabled his IP with particles. The New Holland dealer told him never to run biodiesel in a NH tractor.
What would really be great is if you could get the guy to come visit the K-18 and look at it. Likely, he would remember even more if he was actually looking at the inside. Wouldn't hurt to ask - he might jump at the chance. Bring back old memories.
Congratulations on the truck! Looks very good. There was a guy on here selling new body panels for M151s a while back, but can't remember who. If they are still available that might work better and easier than repairing the rust. From the photos, they looked like original.

The fan only turns as fast as the engine RPMs, never faster. If the clutch is not engaged, the fan will still turn, albeit much slower than the engine RPM. Are you sure the fan clutch is actually engaging? Read the TM and it will advise you on how to troubleshoot. It is a very simple circuit.
Ron, I don't know if you ever go on the Historic Military Vehicle Forum out of the UK, but it's pretty good. Chances are someone knows about the K19 in England. http://hmvf.co.uk/forumvb/
Have you tried contacting the Signal Corps Regimental Association? http://www.signalcorps.org/ You might be able to find a member that is familiar with the K18 and trailer, although WWII vets are leaving us in large numbers now.
I hate to admit it, but I just now got around to repairing the A2. It turned out that it was the oil cooler. There were no o-rings installed. Someone (Army) had use a big glop of silicone sealant to seal it where the o-rings went. Hard to believe it ever worked. The oil cooler itself is in...
