I hope that list is correct, if not please feel free to correct me.
I allways like to be on the save side, so i never exceed the 5A per mm². The fuse should be as big as necessary, not much bigger. And never bigger than the maximal allowed amperage for the wire.
as a rule of the thumb:
for long time use 5A / mm²
for short time use 10A / mm²

Nice job! 2 things i would suggest to change:
Use a rubber grommet or a cable glance there the wire goes through the sheetmetal
and close to the slave terminal a fuse.
Something like this, for example...
I had the same problem in the past. After a few beer i trialed to start my multi, but nothing. I've searched a lot and after one hour i've noticed that somebody had stolen my steering wheel.
Thank you! It's called a cable gland. They are water tight IP68, availible in different thread diameters and lengths.
Through the floor its a M32 with 15mm thread length. Fits the original holes....
Through the wall its a M25 also with 15mm thread length.
Cable is 95mm² (between AWG 000 and...
I noticed the thumb, too. It looks like the typical ATF leakage :-). This is the way a mans hand should look like. Dirty, scratched, scarred. :-)
btt: good thread, good advise. And reminds me to pull my wheels and drums and take a look on it again. thanks!
@Ahab: thank you! (you get it right :-) )
@Country / Dave: thanks for the info, but i like my windows. It's great to open them, especial on the trail or on hot days.
If i rember correct, i've seen here on Steelsoldiers a mod with a one-piece windshield.
yup, got it...
ps: I know there is a wiper kit from Oshkosh availible, that is very similar to the OMIX wipers. But Oshkosh doesn't export.
see http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?82903-My-Cab-upgrades&p=1059864&viewfull=1#post1059864 and...
the windshield itself doesn't need big modifications...just a few countersunk bolts.
I've forgotten one thing...i've made threaded inserts for the hinge on the windshield, removed the old inserts and mount the new 180° turned.
After all, i'm happy with the result. The seal fits tight, i can...
Second mod is the frame itself. I've added a seal to it. It's not tested, but i guess its an advantage.
First i've got sheetmetal laser cutted. 1,5mm thick. Then i've welded it to the frame, only with small spots.
The new frame is sealed to the rest with body glue and sealant...
The arms have...
I've switched to electrical wipers...
wiper motor: Omix-Ada OMX-1910104
wiper arm: ANCO 41-01 ANC-41-01
wiper blade ANCO 31-13 ANC-31-13
The wiper motor fits perfect, just have to shorten the shaft. No holes to drill in the frame. On the electrical side is a small modification necessary.
