repaired the hood hinges...the bolts are worn and the hole egg-shaped.... I drilled the holes, made brass bushings and new bolts.

For my opinion is TM_America's bracket and 12V alternator the best way to get 12V with capacity. For a trailer wiring is that to much effort. I would go the relais-route with 1 permanently powered converter. I don't think the on-off mode (turn signal / brakes) are good for converters... But...

Before i trial "alternative" fuels, i swap in a second fuel tank. So i can run one with straight diesel and one with a mix. Separate returnlines, a selector valve and everything is nice. You can ad an extra filter for the "mix" tank.

If you quieten your exhaust, you will recognize all the other noises :D ... insulate your cab and hood. that will help a lot.

you can use the angled section for some nice LED lights... :-)

Detroit and similar are not recommed for steering axles. I would go this route: Detroits for the rear axles, ARB for the front axle.

just what i mean. But i don't be familar with LED. maybe the build- in constant current modul warms les up. There must be one in, cause LEDs have very limited tolerance against current fluctuation.

less amperage on the same wire or internal circuit runs a bit cooler (assuming the circuit / wire has the correct dimension for the lower voltage), that makes sense to me. But 180W are allways the same. The LED should make the same heat. Don't want to be a smartass or offense, just want to...

no need to change the harness. 12V usually use thicker wires due the higher amperage.

An alternative to A3 wiper are the single wiper motors from Oshkosh or from OMIX. They are very easy to install. with Anco arms and blades they're great. wiper motor: Omix-Ada OMX-1910104 wiper arm: ANCO 41-01 ANC-41-01 wiper blade ANCO 31-13 ANC-31-13 btt: nice upgrade Ray!

there are special battery to battery chargers on the market. (google for b2b charger). They are expensive. And you have an additional load on hte original system.
