Cranetruck, With all the confusion from loosing the forum i forgot to tell you about running your samples through the centrafuge. After shaking your sample untill it was fully suspended i ran it at 2500 RPM's for 60 sec. It seperated the mixture with the white substance on the bottom and the...
I'll be installing my dropside bed soon. Does anyone know what kind of wood is between the frame and bed? Mine is rotted enough that it's not going to work. It looks like red oak, but as rotted as it is i can't be sure.
The trick is to make your sharp turns while coasting. For example a right turn at a stop sign. Take off and go as far as you can straight, then push in the clutch and turn the steering wheel. The locker will release when not under power . Now i realize this isn't always practical. But when...
Yep they are interchangeable. Call bret at boyce equipment. He has a pile of them. I've seen the pile. And the mag is right. the newer u-joint style is stronger.
Mabye you could fab one up to fit in the bed. But rember most GI's driving these trucks are about 18 to 20 years old. Rember how fast you drove when you were that age? Espically if it wasen't your car? Keep it below 45 mph (some guys here run them 55mph) and don't sneek any curves up on it. And...
Wow, I've delt with bret for 11 years now. And never had any problems.I even bought a truck from him once. I guess the rebuild guy had a bad day. But i understand. If i spent $900 i want it right the first time. Bret is a pretty good guy, I bet he would make it right with you if you are still...
Uncle sam has been known to put the wrong tag on something. Units are allowed to only keep so much of each item. if they have too many they have to get rid of it. Someone may have change a tag to cover a mistake. Most GI's don't like to hear the Sargent yell. I've bought stuff from Gov Lick...
NMC, Most of the all metal ones fit the stuart and stevenson trucks only! Where did you get them??? What year is your truck? I have both beds and they are interchangeable. If you can ad your location and your truck to your sig. it's a requirement here.
Have you changed the fuel filters lately? Or cleaned out the pickup screen at the bottom of the lift pump in the fuel tank? I think you probally have a air leak somewhere. Is the fuel pump in the tank working? The truck will run with out it, but if it's not working the pump in the bottom of the...
Rmgill, Desert rat and I are working on a insulation kit for these cabs. We are using my cab to make the patterns. We are using a foam rubber to go along the inside. I have the boots for the shifters on order. I'm going to use a spray on liner to keep the steel fron rusting if moisture gets...
Nope no difference in the block. But the oil pan in bolted on backwards and it has a different oil pump pickup. Sometimes, but not allways it has a different turbo "some with a exaust brake". Hp rating, Like the 2 1/2 ton there are a few different rateings. 165hp , 175hp, and 225hp. Some M52...
I've been eyeballing a 5ton with a ldt. It has a much bigger turbo. But i don't want to loose the wistler. If you crank your fuel rate, it will probally be more power than you could ever want.
