That's where i saw it in the 5ton. It's good to see you have a REAL rifle in the mount. I have to keep the mag out of mine or i will hit my knees on it when it get in or out of the truck.
I've only seen them by the doors. Mine has the deep water fording valve mounted to the left of the glove box. I've seen 5tons with them together by the glove box. If you don't have the deep water kit i guess you could put them there.
Fred, they go as close as posable to the doors. With the butt on the floor and the rifle leaning tward the dash. The pass side mount wil be to the right of the glove box, and the drivers side will be to the left of the hand throttle.
Man i hate having to make short posts!! Anyway, Water injection is only good for short bursts. It works by turning the water to steam. As it turns to steam it expands rapidly causing very high presseures. This also cools the combustion chamber, causing more unburt fuel. If you spray too long the...
There is a small hole on the compressor side that travels through the bearing cartrige to the turbine side. This hole pressurises the area between the partition wall and the bearing cartrige. This keeps the hot exuast gas from getting to the bearing cartrige. If you idle untill the temps come...
The water in the intake warms the air in cold weather. A intercooler would be defeated by the intake. After you ran all that plumbing you would loose more boost than you would gain. There is a partition wall between the turbine rotor hub and bearing cartrige. The wall keeps temps from reaching...
Mark, These filters fit many different engines. And so the filter companies include all gaskets. I believe the 6-71 detorit diesel uses the rubber o-ring.
Man that oil pan is going to be close. Mabye you could lift it about 2 inches so they don't kiss each other.
Besides if you lift it a bit the front tires will stay away from the fenders.
I'd put a pyro on it, and then crank the fuel rate untill it runs about 1200 deg under a full load. If you don't have a airshift t-case, get one and some lockout hubs. Or if you can put a turbo on it. Make sure the air filter is clean. The more air you can get in there the more power you'll...
I think you were turning the adjusting screw the wrong way. Looking at it from the front of the truck you should turn it clockwise. The screw is a 3/32 allen set screw. The cover over this screw "cap" is 7/16 wrench. And the lock nut is 7/16 also.
PK if you like PM me and i'll give you my # and...
Why not just install a muffler? My mut as ridden 100's of miles in the bed. He likes to go to the drivers side of the bed at the front and stick his nose as far forward as he can. He's never tried to jump out, and i uaslly have to drag him out when we get somewhere.
