Jason hit the nail on the head. the hubs are drilled and tapped on both sides so you can change the offset. Then the 11.00's will clear the rear leaf springs. Yea it takes all day to do.

Don't forget boost is affected by how far you are from see level also.

When you run the 11's don't you have to turn the rear hubs around so the tires don't rub the leaf springs?????

The other day i installed a relay on a civi truck to keep the low beams on when the highbeams are turned on. I was thinking of doing this for more light on my duece. I was going to use the high beam indicator light wire to charge the relay. Do you think the headlight bulbs can handle the heat, Amps?

The toruqe #'s depend on the Hp rating. You can crank up the fuel rate on these engines for more power. If i rember right the 229 hp setting gives you 475 Ftlbs at 1900rpm's. But i'm not 100% sure it's been 5 years since we had a 6-71.

Look by the front shock on the pass side. A lot of them had the year stamped in the frame. You may need to remove paint.

As far as displacement goes 6-71 stands for 6 cylinder, 71 cubic inch displacement. So a 6-71 is 426 cubic inches. The 2 stroke DD is going to rap out much faster than the cummalong. (more deiseribale when busting mud holes) Now only being a 426 CID doesen't count because it's a 2 stroke...

If it's only doing it when you turn, I'd check the bogie bearings. There is a shaft that the rear suspension rotates on. If you look between the axles on eather side you will see a cap with 6 bolts holding it on. Behind this cap is some taper bearings. Later on they changed to brass bushings...
