Average cost for a CUCV from GL

Its going to be a crapshoot now. Most are out of service already so now they are just purging whats left. In the past if they came out piecmeal, there was probably a problem. When they sell by the dozen, they are just trying to get rid of them. Since so few are coming out, they are again...

You probably could but the sign needs to say hours, not minutes. Leaving a cell number would be nearly pointless as you have virtually no service on the trails.

Working on motor, motor stopped turning!

All this talk has me shopping for a borescope. Other than the size, any issues with the Milwacky Gimp?

    Spare 6.2, how to store?

Engine can maybe? Load it up with dessicant and do some preventative stuff with the engine itself.

Average cost for a CUCV from GL

I've dabbled in CUCVs for nearly 20 years. Rarely do parts trucks (except blazers), go for under a grand unless axles are missing. I went to an auction at MCLB Albany in probably 1996. They had 2 trucks that had the alternators chopped off and were pretty beat. I had high hopes of getting one...

Official 2014 SS Georgia Rally Amateur Radio / Communications Thread

Now all I need is a PRC77 and an operator. LOL, for what it's worth, at one time I have a half dozen or so RT524s that were tossed my way. Since I'm not an operator, they were all swapped off for useable stuff.

    Rear bumper for M1008?

That's OK. They set the price, not me! I passed along the savings to another member.

    Title fee.

Nope, they can pass title fees on if you require a title. I'm almost certain that you will get a title, not an SF97 though!

    Rear bumper for M1008?

I feel like a thief. Earlier this year I bought a pretty nice one from the Upick yard for $40.

    M1009 vs Civilian models?

Mil spec A/C is the windows down. I would suggest you have a looksee at K9VICs thread on the burb he did. You may find the burb more appealing. Edit, here's the link...

    M1009 vs Civilian models?

M1009 seats are pretty decent. I'd say that factory civy seats only benefit from the recline option. Mid 80s GM buckets that recline have recline hinges that will work on the M1009. Of all the other stuff you listed, the A/C is the only option of comfort. Power windows and such are just...
