Its going to be a crapshoot now. Most are out of service already so now they are just purging whats left. In the past if they came out piecmeal, there was probably a problem. When they sell by the dozen, they are just trying to get rid of them. Since so few are coming out, they are again...
You probably could but the sign needs to say hours, not minutes. Leaving a cell number would be nearly pointless as you have virtually no service on the trails.
I've dabbled in CUCVs for nearly 20 years. Rarely do parts trucks (except blazers), go for under a grand unless axles are missing. I went to an auction at MCLB Albany in probably 1996. They had 2 trucks that had the alternators chopped off and were pretty beat. I had high hopes of getting one...
Now all I need is a PRC77 and an operator. LOL, for what it's worth, at one time I have a half dozen or so RT524s that were tossed my way. Since I'm not an operator, they were all swapped off for useable stuff.
Mil spec A/C is the windows down. I would suggest you have a looksee at K9VICs thread on the burb he did. You may find the burb more appealing.
