Finally got my first deuce towed to the shop today. Started snowing hard again so didn’t dig in very far yet. It’s relatively rust free for New England. Was converted to 12v at some point, not sure if that’ll stay or not.
Got the truck from a buddy for free so I’m only in it for the tow bill...
Any idea what size the crank nut is on a reo gasser? I wanna put some oil in cylinders and turn motor over some before trying to start it as it’s been sitting awhile
My 53 Stude I just aquired seems to have a civilian dizzy in it and the whole truck including starter has been converted to 12v by the fire dept who used to own it.
I am lost as to where to start looking for ignition parts..... What other makes and models did the OA331 come in? I need...
Ill have to check when its actually here. Getting towed saturday afternoon I hope.
Will the number on the frame be the missing serial number? or will it match the manufacturer serial number?
Any other ideas to find out more on the truck? Its my first MV and I am dieing to know more about its history etc. It ended up as a forestry truck at some point in life, its still painted on the doors
Any idea if there is a 2018 VIN thread? I searched VIN stuff on here and found a dead link to the carnac thread, then a locked 2017 vin thread. Then I came up empty after that....
Thanks so much. I’m new to these trucks but I’m already in love with mine. I really appreciate this community as well!!!
Above that info it says truck cargo 2 1/2 ton 6x6 m35 w/wn

Title for a Deuce in NH
Hello!
I tried the regional section, but I didnt get much so I'll try here.....
I just bought a deuce (53 gasser) and it didnt come with a title. In NH anything with three axles regardless of year needs a title. It appears I can either get a bonded title, or Ive been...
N.H requires title for three axle rigs. My deuce has no title as it was a yard truck for a long time. I’ve been told I can do a bonded title. But I’ve also read I can register it in VT and then transfer the reg and since VT doesn’t require a title NH will then issue one.
Any ideas or...
What are the major differences between a gasser deuce harness and a multi fuel harness. I assume engine specific stuff will be different, but can/has one use/used a later harness for a gasser truck? My harness is pretty sketchy looking. I can fix what I have if needed but the price of newer...
hello, My gasser should be arriving in a week or so, and I'd like to crack into it and make sure its a runner before burying myself in buying parts.
I have two original carbs I'd like to make into one good one, but both are froze up at the moment. I do however have a good working holley 500 CFM...
