Well using the drain valve pretty much insures that you have the best chance of not poisoning the environment, if of course you follow through and dispose of it correctly, or even give a rats behind about that kind of stuff.
There is a real handy drain valve on the lower radiator hose, if you use reasonable care you will lose nothing and not be in a rush to get them swapped.
I met a man in Port A a couple weeks ago that collects M151s, uncut M151s, maybe in his late mid 50s, I think he said he lived in Kerrville, TX
Anyone have an ID on this guy?
THANKS!!

CAMO will likely chime in with the numbers, he is the keeper of the numbers.
Does the thermostat housing feel hot? do you have a Chicom infrared temp gauge?
If your HMMWV is truly running too cold you have a one in a half million truck!
I suspect the sensor numbers are OK and the gauge is faulty
Went down to the CAT scales today, rolled the FAV off the trailer and onto the scales, since it weighs less than 2000lb the CAT scale would not print a ticket.
Of course there is more than one way to skin a cat,,
So we weighed the truck/trailer empty and then with the FAV on it, the FAV weighs...
If you order three belts from an auto parts store they will NOT be matched even if the same brand etc., the best method I have found is to cross to a number that is stocked in a large chain and drive from one store to the next, write down every batch number/date code until you find three that...
That power comes from the EESS or PCB box.
All this is pretty clear on the schematics
There is a relay in the box that powers the wire #5 that excites the alt.
EDIT, #568 is only used on the 60A.
I would not sweat it if it only blows hot for a minuet, and even in TX I have never had to throttle the heat, when it is cold enough for heat I need all the minuscule amount of heat the HMMWV will give.
GOOD NEWS! I got a call this morning from DMV that I would need a weight ticket.
New tires should be delivered today for my 18' trailer which will be easier to load and costs less than the other gooseneck trailer to tow., even less because I can tow it behind my 1/2 ton.
I was looking and two of...
The last time it ran,,, was there anything unusual about the way it ran or when it was shut off? I would say 25V at the starter would be pretty good, in fact maybe too good like the starter is not loaded as you would expect, of course as Coug pointed out do a voltage drop on the negative side...
The "shimming" is also not an issue, when there is an interference issue on a GM starter the bendix will tend to not retract.
There is a large solenoid shoving the bendix into the flex plate but only a spring pulling it back, that is what gives the awful screeching on an improperly shimmed GM...
