If anyone else is wanting one let dabtl know so he can get an idea of how many to make and if it would be worth his while. Dabtl, do you also make the plate for the upper lip of the cab?
I use Farmers for my cucv's. I have a super agent! Let me know if you want his contact info. For my larger vehicles I use Grange. When checking for quotes just tell them K30 w/ 6.2 diesel.
Any ideas on where the cab reinforcement plates can be found? I'd like to find one. One of the members here had talked about manufacturing the plates awhile back but I have not heard anything since. Anyone know who that was? He had made them before and some of us told him to put us to the list...
If you can get the film coating peeled back a bit from the copper path, try a piece of metal tape to make up the difference. Remove the adhesive from the tape in the area contacting the copper path and add a dab of rtv (or something similar), over the top to hold it in contact with the copper...
Check for an air leak in the fuel lines. Especially the clamps on the rubber fuel hose, post filter block. Make sure they are good and tight. Check injector lines too. Pushing air through the engine via the fuel system can make it rattle.
