the biggest advantage is, you can drain your 3rd battery and your truck will start.

there's no trouble in installing a 12V alternator. this system has a few advantages over a converter.
specially with a multifuel, installation is a snap.

how much are we're talking about? 1-2", 10" ? I've no idea! I've often thought about an 8-speed, that would be a good improvement. close ratio, 8th overdrive. great for pulling and hills.
I've no idea what transmission can fit. what about moving the engine a bit forward and the transfercase...
If you wan't remove the hardtop again, i would use body work adhesive & sealant. Small plastik washer between to provide a gap, adhesive, ready.

Did you thougt about a motorcycle intercom? theres cool stuff....with the possibilty to connect cell, ipod, cb, even a GPS....

yup. And i guess the M109 hasn't realy 5000 lbs due the higher weight of the box.

The 2 tanks weigh approximately 400 lbs.

huh! :shock: you did miss something.
1st. the weight hangs "outbord" off the frame , that not the same as weight even distributed on the truck bed or box floor. Means more stress (torsion) on the frame. But this is with a tank in the original size and dimension neglectable.

for my opinion to much weight....i would use a M105 for the WMO tank, with a pump, big filters & water separator as a fuel processing unit if necessary. advantage: only clean fuel in the trucks system and you can run a defined blend between WMO and diesel.
