Lifting safety what are you using

No joke. I parted one out a few months ago and it took a long time to undo everything even with an air powered impact wrench.

No buzzer sound when starting truck

Mine doesn't work anymore either, but I view that as an improvement. That buzz is pretty close to being the most annoying sound in the world.

Lifting safety what are you using

Keith_J, Texrdnec, and I used an engine hoist and a socket extension bar (to go between the wheels) for the rears. Worked like a charm.

    Brake Bleeding Unnecessary on Deuce?

If he's just been topping off the master cylinder and going, he might have a really new looking shoe on that wheel, too. From what I've seen, the shield is not really good at keeping DOT 5 that's leaking out of the wheel cylinder from getting to the brake drum. A whole bunch of refills without...

Couple of M105A2 trailers out of Pineville, Louisiana

Resolved. Many thanks to dlawbrey and company for going above and beyond the call of duty in stacking the trailers and loaning me better straps, a better hook, and lights. I appreciate the generous amount of time and effort you gave to help me. And yes, a chevy silverado will tow two M105A2s...

    Strange deuce troop seats?

I dunno about the classification, but they look like nice fiberglass troop seats to me. One of my deuces came with one fiberglass and one wood troop seat. It's kind of hard to find someone willing to part with just one troop seat, unfortunately.

M101A3 Trailer Camp Shelby, MS to San Antonio, TX

I've got a friend who's stationed at Camp Shelby. Only problem is, he's not going to be down here until March. I could ask him to pick it up for you and bring it down when he comes tho, if you don't mind waiting that long to finally get it.

Couple of M105A2 trailers out of Pineville, Louisiana

I was able to get ahold of the guy. Headed out the door right now, but I'll post some pictures of the trailers this evening.

Couple of M105A2 trailers out of Pineville, Louisiana

ok... how about with a 2004 Silverado? Looking at the manual, it looks like it wouldn't exceed the max gross combined weight of the vehicle. However, the hitch is 5000# capacity. Both trailers at once would be 5300# Also, I'm not sure what kind of pintle hook I need to buy to make this work...

    Rebuild a 400

Awesome thread. I've got a 1009 on the way from Minot, ND that has the transmission loose in the cab. So I'm assuming it's bad. I like learning how to do stuff myself. Thanks for the links to the technical books, guys! Time to learn transmissions... :-D

    Soft Top Repair

Nice. I just need to find a replacement plastic channel piece.

    Soft Top Repair

How much did the plastic channel piece cost? I can't find it on the GMA website. Yeah, I've got the exact same problem as others in this thread. Plastic front piece came unstitched and broke into several pieces.

Anyone with cargo on Arrow Truck Lines?

I like this idea even better.

Anyone with cargo on Arrow Truck Lines?

If close enough to home, drive the truck home and send them a letter saying they can come pick it up on their dime if they want it.
