My personal experience dealing with GL has been very mixed. It ALL depends on which GL employees you deal with and what kind of relationship you have with them. Generally speaking, tho, they'll work with you if you keep up good comms with them and don't step on their toes.
Have a backup plan...
There's really not a whole lot to the throttle, anyways.
When we picked up another SS member's truck, the throttle was stuck wide open. It was just varnished diesel that was keeping it from moving.
The fix was easy. Keith_J just sprayed some pro shot copper solvent in it and that did the trick.
I use Victoria Insurance. Actually, it's a insurance agent service called "Falcon" but the actual insurer is Victoria.
No mile or use limits and 220 for 6 months as a 26 year old with 1 speeding ticket. Should drop a bit when that drops off my record in a couple of months.
If you go...
Amen.
This is why I prefer to live in the country and away from large population centers. The problem still exists, but to a much lesser degree.
I'm not sure what I'd do if some bureaucrat told me I wasn't allowed to park my truck on my own property. Probably kick myself for living in such a...
Find an open air storage place, man. Don't let the government win.
I had to stash one on the way back from a recovery because the engine doesn't stay very cool when the water pump isn't turning. Anyways... Storage ended up being like $25 for the first month and $30/mo every month afterward...
I won a couple of M105A2s the other day and I'm entertaining possibilities for retrieval.
I have an 18 ft trailer that has 83" of clearance between the rails. So I *might* be able to bring them both back on that, but it would be a really tight squeeze.
I really don't NEED two trailers, so if...
What rims are you using on that truck? Those fronts don't look like standard M35A2 split rims.
And is it just my imagination or are those front tires alot wider than the rears?
Well, I would really like to stick with singles in front and duals in back.
Michelin XZL's seem to look really nice. Also suit my purpose (highway and off-road) And I like the specs shown for the 11R20s on that military tire comparison chart another poster linked to on the first page of this...
ok, another dumb question...
Does anyone do rear duals with those tires? It seems like all I see are singles.
What are the pros and cons of dual rears vs single rears in regards to these newer tires?
Ok, I've read some bits and pieces here and there, but nothing that lays it all out for a real dummy like me.
My goal: Upgrade to longer-lasting, modern construction tires. A slight diameter size increase would be nice, too. I'd like to be able to do 55 without redlining the tach. I'd also...
I know it would be a real pain in the ass, what with all the traffic... but I would LOVE to see video of two or three Deuces driving through Times Square.
