I wonder why they pulled all the m35a2s

Yeah. Rumor has it that it's tritium. They use it in nukes to give it more bang for the buck. It's just another isotope of hydrogen that has a couple of extra neutrons. Like deuterium, but better. More neutrons = more fission, I'm given to understand. Supposed to be slightly radioactive...

I wonder why they pulled all the m35a2s

That's certainly plausible, considering that they didn't pull the 5-tons or the M35A3s.

I wonder why they pulled all the m35a2s

This is from the man (yard manager) who will actually certify the demil on the trucks in San Antonio. Technically scuttlebutt, sure. But I'd rank it as a sure thing.

I wonder why they pulled all the m35a2s

well, it looks like a real basket-case, but it's still going to go for alot I bet.

I wonder why they pulled all the m35a2s

Actually, the new demil requirement is guages removed and frame cut in certain spots, according to the GL people at Fort Sam.

    Multifuel Gensets?

Lister diesels are pretty cool. Very low rpm. Real fuel sippers, too. There's a company in India that makes them new, fairly cheaply. Good quality, too. Read all about this guy's projects here Lister CS slow speed cold start diesel generator** India eta: Or if you REALLY want to go...

    1971 AM General - Restored

very nice. What color did you paint the Jerry Can? I've got an original 50s or 60s vintage US Jerry can, but it's 383 green as far as I can tell. It needs a paint job badly, but I like that brown color you used.

    GL wants my Deuce back

Theoretically. Hopefully. I wouldn't hold my breath on that one, tho.

    GL wants my Deuce back

Please explain how the Supremacy Clause would be grounds for a Federal Judge to order the Executive branch not to seize the private property of individuals.

    GL wants my Deuce back

Stop the executive branch from seizing property? On what grounds would he do so?

    GL wants my Deuce back

GL wouldn't be the ones taking the truck back from the second or third purchaser. The Federal government would. And they will get it if they know you have it and they want it.

I wonder why they pulled all the m35a2s

I had one go from "sent to battle creek" to "customer notified" yesterday. And I had my last one go from "submission pending" to "sent to battle creek" today. They're still getting processed. Not that that means anything.

New rust protection for deuce this year

sounds like what you want is a protectant, rather than a lubricant. Boeshield makes some good stuff in that area. eta: The problem with WD-40 is not that it doesn't repel moisture (it does). The problem is that it doesn't last very long. Nor is it meant to. It's not a long-term protectant...

    GL wants my Deuce back

Stimulus for GM. "If you want a Blazer, you do like the rest of the peasants and buy a brand new one!" Er, isn't that what they did with the hummer and AM General? eta: Tho that raises an interesting question: How were the owners of surplus auction sold humvee's treated? Did the .gov try to...

    GL wants my Deuce back

The 5 tons never went down. Nor the A3s, I think. There are zero m35a2 or any variants thereof on govliq right now that I can see.

    GL wants my Deuce back

What's really sad/strange is that I had an EUC returned as approved yesterday... and another sent to battle creek, today. That doesn't mean anything one way or the other, regarding whether or not we'll be able to keep our property. They could very well know we'll all have to return them...

    GL wants my Deuce back

According to a GL Site manager, the reason for all the deuces being reclassified as demil F was because of the detection of radiation coming from a gauge. And they've already given the yard manager the specifics on the demil procedure, i.e. where to cut the frames. No, I did not hear this...

    GL wants my Deuce back

That gauge thing is not good news, people. Make preps accordingly.
