    It was running on straight diesel its a turbocharged 250 which would make it a 290 HP engine running hotter makes a diesel more efficient I believe they are run on heat generated by compression as far as MPG cant help you there.

    Sounds like the timing is off a bit I had a 1009 you couldnt stand to have the hood open when you first started it the engine rattled so bad. After it got to a certain temperature it would go to normal like the timing backed off a bit.

    Those turbo charged hummer engines will not fit in a CUCV unless you do a lot of cutting on the firewall there is no room for the turbo and exhaust in a stock truck.

    Thats a great fab job on the fenders and they line up great with the stock tires I bet you would have to add quite a bit more width to cover 14 or 1600-20s it might look out of proportion adding that much width to the fenders with a 101 bed though.
