    M1097A2

This is the one from the supplier I mentioned. https://www.easternsurplus.net/PartDetails/5678/Transmission-Control-Module-Eprom-1995 You might also be able to find it cheaper if you look around online more

Yikes... I just replaced mine, I swapped in a GM truck part that Mogman recommended. P/N 16147609. It needs an EPROM unit which is likely also dead on yours, but you can get those from Eastern Surplus. I got a rebuilt TCM from rockauto for $170 including the core charge. The original P/N for...

    Turn Signal Problems

Figured it out... was indeed bad testing. Had the multimeter set to AC power when testing voltage.

    Upper vs lower driver's mirror

I have a truck that came without mirrors or any holes drilled for them. I recently got a mirror kit in and learned about the two different mounting positions for the driver side mirror. The mirror head I have does not have the cut for the lower position, but it did come with the lower bracket...

    TM Question

This is the site I go to for most TMs. The ones you're looking for might be in the left column, the 3rd-5th items. https://www.nsnlookup.com/equipment-intelligence/land/hmmwv

As far as I understand the relays, the only ways it could fail are stuck on or stuck off. If it were stuck on, the TCM and trans would always be getting power, so the light would be on even when the truck is off. If it were stuck off, there wouldn't be any power going to most of the trans parts...

    Turn Signal Problems

And it gets more confusing. The cable labeled F on the 3 switch light control provides power to the park lights and horn as well as the turn signals when the switch is in service drive. The horn and park lights work on my truck. But when I test the voltage on that cable, I always get zero. I've...

    GM truck TCMs in HMMWVs

Aside from looking for ground on the ground pins and 12v on the ignition and battery feed pins, are there any other ones I should look at? I'm not sure what normal voltage is for the sensors and other pins.

    Turn Signal Problems

As I've been working down the chain of switches and things, I noticed that the horn gets its power from the same light switch output as the turn signals. I've had a problem in the past with the horn sticking on, so I took it off and tested some things there. I found that there's an extra mystery...

    Turn Signal Problems

I was able to test the connections between most things, and they all seemed intact. The only thing I don't think I can properly check is the flasher. I tried taking it out and connecting it to a 24v power supply and using a multimeter to check the outputs, but I imagine it needs a load to work...

    GM truck TCMs in HMMWVs

Was this in a 6.5 truck? The part I was looking for is relatively hard to find, so I wonder if that one would work for mine too. That part number seems to have been in 6.2 GM trucks. With the EPROM stuff, I'm assuming I could just drop in the one out of my old TCM, although I don't know if it...

    GM truck TCMs in HMMWVs

I have an M1114 and recently found that my tcm has a bunch of burnt out components on the board. The part number listed in the TM for my truck is the same as a GM part used on 6.5 turbo trucks with the 4l80e. If I get one of these units and replace the EPROM with the one from my TCM, will it...

    Turn Signal Problems

My truck came with no front composite lights and a flasher unit removed with the cable cut before the connector. I just got finished putting on all the parts and wiring everything back together but the turn signals are not working. The first time I turned the right signal on it worked front and...

    M1151A1

My M1114 also had the blue ignition interface wire cut, although the other wires were intact. I think it was relay sort of thing for either the turret or the radio, since it was cut and it's not in the wiring diagram. On mine it was spliced into cable 29T going into the transmission relay.

    Normal resistance between battery connections?

the old one was damaged so I couldn't tell what it was, but the new one is marked negative on the other side

    Normal resistance between battery connections?

Just got the new one, and it looks like aside from the old one being in overall bad shape my truck may have also come with a positive connector. The markings on it are gone but it looks a lot bigger than the new one. Here's the old vs new

    Normal resistance between battery connections?

Thanks for confirming the bad connection idea. I cleaned the other terminals that didn't have problems and since the one that did was so messed up I just ordered a new one. The testing I did was through the electrical system of the truck without the batteries in. By inner connections I mean the...

    Normal resistance between battery connections?

The resistance between the outer connections of my truck (1114 if it matters) is 85 ohms when on, and 30k ohms when off. Are these figures normal? the relatively low resistance when off seems wrong to me. Background: I recently put my batteries in again and tried to start it but had some...

M1114 mystery cut cables and wiring questions

As I've been working on my truck I've noticed a few cut cables that I haven't been able to figure out with the wiring diagram. 4 small wires coming from the outside negative battery terminal. These don't seem to be in the wiring diagram 1 wire coming from the outside positive terminal. also not...
