I am all about the heavy duty. But for the cost, I do think the power plant is more economical, wouldn't want to stimulate the economy or anything by buying big. I wonder what the water resistance of the powerplant is?
I do want the versatility to switch the winch out from the front to the...

What do you guys think about mounting this to a M1009 CUCV Blazer? Thinking I could just wire it into the 24 volt system, (haven't changed it yet). I know its a little much for a 3/4 ton truck (rated at 9000lbs)...
Thanks for clearing that up, haven't seen my M1009 in 8 months.
I would like to use the same wheels and tires on a trailer to accommodate both truck and trailer in case one goes down.
I have called everyone within about 70 miles and no one has interstate 31's. I only found one place with 31's and i will be heading over there today. Not interstates and they are "seconds" for $78 a piece from American Battery coorporation.

Outside of salt lake city Utah off the I15. Did a trip from Southern CA to Salt lake and back this weekend. Burned about $230.00 in fuel one way. Getting ready for a cross country trip here next week.
Bran new 33 inch tires on a stock 1984 M1009. Just in case anyone wants to see how they look or question if they will fit. No rubbing even at extreme turns or off roading. Mounted on stock rims no lift.
What about the needle point greaser used to lubricate the constant velocity joint, front propeller shaft, or an oil can for the oil can Points?
Can anyone direct where to buy these tools?
Wow, anyone else have some input on this, I am extremely interested if my truck can run off ATF fluid, and what ratio of oil to fuel do i need to make my truck run off this stuff (veg. oil)?
Im not really so much talking about decals as much as I am talking about the metal placards that give you specific vehicle information, usually on the inside drivers side door, dash, and where ever these original placards went in the M1009's.
The pre-cleaner comes with all that hardware, all you need is the 4inch pipe (in my case) but like I said you can also get them four three inch pipe as well. I just think 4 inch looks better.
