using home heating oil in military diesel gensets

T-Jim, I was here for the one you mentioned. We called it the Christmas eve storm of 99. No power for 11 days. I'm at the end of the grid. Believe Dangier might be talking about a big storm that went just north of me about 2-3 years ago. My sons in Northern VA had 30" plus. I had rain but...

NO Voltage or HZ reading on meters

Ike, I have four IS24L 735x150 units (green and bought new, produced in 2002). Also one older blue unit that came with a GL purchase. All it says is 735x160. I think you are right about tricking my multimeter. Just tried a different meter and got different results which I haven't figured...

NO Voltage or HZ reading on meters

Slightly off topic but related to battery charge voltage. Any idea why 24 volt Solargizers charge at about 37 volts? Any idea how to determine if the four I have automatically cut off at appropriate time or continue to overcharge and drive out eletrolite? I bought them new 2 years ago and...

Ray70, I installed one of those $19 wonders about a month ago and it works fine. If I recall correctly, I took the feeds off the voltage meter and taped off the leads from the xdcr. Jerry

New Member/Western North Carolina RE: MEP 003A

I will post this on the SS site now to help with the thread. ALSO, I DO CRACK EACH LINE AT THE INJECTOR AND BLEED THEM ONE BE ONE, 1,2,3,4...although it was a little hard to do with the IP pumping up the drain line. Bill, Sorry, I've been at work all day. First, don't worry about...

New Member/Western North Carolina RE: MEP 003A

Folks, Bill and I had an e-mail discussion earlier and I mentioned to check 180 out based on what he told me. It is beginning to sound like a cam shaft problem if timing is right. I suggested he might try removing the pump and cranking to see what is happening with the cam lobe that...

Maybe better rather than cheaper? Not so sensitive to idling? Not so easy to burn up? Just thinking. Jerry :tank:
