Preliminary plans are to head out friday, after kids are off school, towing pickup with crane. Stick around a couple of hours, then head home in pickup. Come back saturday around 10 for the day, with kids, then leave saturday late afternoon/evening. This assumes I can find my towing adapters...
Haven't touched the deuce yet. If I have time, need to replace shifter seal on transfer. Needs oil change, extra filters, and greased. Fuel filters have been done recently. Then on to packing the camper, deuce, bus, and trailer.
Race mowers are being gone over, and should be in tip top...
Couple people have said they removed the spring pack. I had to replace the u bolts last time I removed one. Not sure if there is enough room for a socket and breaker bar.
I would guess it's a dead spline, as in the yokes are fixed at each end, and the shaft does not have to move shorter/longer while running.
Think doghead did a retube on his 5 ton.
I've had good luck honing and replacing seals in wheel cylinders. As long as they don't have bad pitting. Did a couple with some small pitting, but not where the seal would rub it.
As was mentioned earlier, please refrain from posting about drinking, and other hare-brained ideas. You are more than welcome to drink, but please keep it under control, or you may be asked to leave. We have had Pete(manager) and the local police remove people before, but so far no SS...
