topgun217, have seen many post mpg #'s in 18-22 range. You have stated you are realizing from 26-28 mpg. What are you filling with? Some kind of blend? Going off simple math and probably not very accurate Odometer. Best I am seeing is between 14-16 mpg. More city than freeway driving...
Much sweat on a Fall Day, 5' Pry bar, pipe wrench and lots of lube whilst rotating back and forth. Put dual purpose pintle/ball combo in its place. Nice mod for me. Looks pretty good also. Six pack later and winded. Good to go.
linx310, I thought I was the only one that fought with that. Feel better now! After playing with it for a long time. Was able to utilize both holes, but it looked goofy. Problem is quick removal. Takes a couple wrenches to get off. Will take another look. Recall I got pretty frustrated...
Outstanding information! Thank you all very much. My M1009 will display 04 without trailer and 06 with trailer loaded and wet. Should keep me out of trouble w/nato clan at crossings? Took me a while to find one! DMLII sends...:driver:
Finally have both OEM Antenna's with Brush guards mounted. LOOK OUT low flying aircraft! Bay Area Commuters are going to love me. Next week mount Bridge Plate.
Finally got both port and starboard antenna's complete with brush guards. All I need is Bridge Plate. Then exterior will be complete. Can anyone help me with that? Really like M1009's roof rack! Sweet job. :driver:
Have read of advancing without such aids. Spoken only in advancing minute increments from factory on center. Three bolts hold in position on top of manifold. Avoid such a adjustment like plague I gather?
Mine are marked red both sides in free position. Always thought it was original marking from manufacturer? So much for that theory.:cookoo: Suppose I will stick with red in free markings unless someone states otherwise.
Have noticed that some have advanced injection timing to increase Horse Power and gain fuel economy. Was going to try this weekend. Which direction do I move mobile indicator vs. stationary?
The other question I have is optimum distance on advancement. Read somewhere that 4 mm is the not to...
Need to identify military part numbers for accessories on M1009. Specifically for the Bridge Plate, Antenna Brush guard and Rims. Appreciate any assistance.

added mx-6707 base and as-1729 whip to port side. look out low flying aircraft. anyone know how to properly bring down am/fm signal with this combo to off shelf civi radio? cosmetically looks great. maint. chief thinks i have lost my mind.:-D
have mx 6707 matching unit w/ as 1729 mounted on M1009. looks extreme! will keep down tied down for over road. rather not take out low flying aircraft. trying to keep cosmetically original. hopefully doing good so far.
i would like to bring in am/fm signal on this combination. how do i...
