Hey for anybody with a truck and step deck looking for some work I have some stuff coming into the US through the Baltimore port.It needs to go to Waseca Mn. 56093. The first ship will arrive in about 4-6 weeks with two vehicles.
They are an FV432 APC around 33,000 and FV433 Abbot around 38,000...
Ok, I know this has been beaten to DEATH and the main opinion stands these things will never be released again. BUT they did stop the H-1 so maybe maybe maybe, if some one were to do some digging they might release some? Im sure they will not come up with it on their own but with a little help...
well, if you wanted to spend enough cash you could get one that would just weld in and then bolt on their shifter. I opted to do all the machine work were it goes in the old tube and make my own air fork. Its basicly how much you want to spend. Or i could make some one an air shift unit fairly...
DING DING DING we have a winner. I should not have done this to you guys but I could not resist. I admit it is a Remco unit. It was laying on the table by some Cat parts, so I said HEY i got it, ill paint it up and make it look Caterpillar. Actualy I just wanted to though the "big boys" for a...
Well I know no one has heard of any progress for a while. Not much room for the ol' girl with the work schedule and buying seven armored vehicles, well six armored and an amphibious, from england.
here are some pictures of the drive shaft disconnect that I have had for over a month now and...
Hey, Thanks yor the report! Just what I needed. This will give youthe same "easy to spin" bit that comes with removing the shaft, BUT you can just turn the dial if you need all wheel drive. A big time and effort saver.
There would be a big advantage to putting one on the other side. Both should...
RE: Split rim
Yes, your right, these are sorta safe. as long as you look to see the bead is over the inner lip it "cant" really come out. THEORETICLY. Some of the other kinds I have seen have a "bead" ring and a "lock" ring. So its like a giant snap ring and then the bead ring holding it on...
lol yeah ANYTHING will fit, just dont forget that when you come back the pedals get closer together....Then the bigger the motor the bigger the radiator, that is the main thing, take a look at that opening...
B series cummins and a 6 speed od allison or a 7 speed manual OD form a ford f-750
The Dt is a good motor dont get me wrong but power to weight and size the cummins is boss IMHO. The 466 will probably fit but im not sure as far as lengh. I had all i could do to get the B series in there with...
I would say you guys wacked that one square on the head!!
Ever try and "limited slip" additive in the synco boxes?
You know, one thing that really grinds my gears is when people say it is hard on a non-syncro to use a clutch! Unless you have some one show you that really really knows it and...
I see that our new friend at USA 6x6 has air lockers coming. 950 bucks to reserve. Is this the ARB unit? I am sure when he sees this he will give us plenty of info.
I know i am VERY interested in 3 of em.
Now what is a "T-223H"? you were not running a 2 1/2 ton case before that were you?
I too have heard of the dyno thing but how much doses it REALLY matter? We do repowers in all of our 120k pound class excavators to 300 HP truck motors and just run the "truck fuel curve" spring. On one of them...
I asume, DT 466? maybe a 643 allison? The reason I ask is because I am lookin for a 6 speed OD allioson with lock up. Maybe you have some experiance. I have an At 543, Mt540, 643 and a big Ol' CLBT-750 but none seem to fit the bill, a whole lot of nothing you might say!
The problem I run it to...
HEY how do you like the stalwart? I see it is an MK2 I am going to the UK to pick up some goods, let me know if you need anything.
Ready man did have what you are talking about but he had it milled out....
Oh I dont know, I think the stock steering will get you by with 16's so long as you dont go loading the thing down, I ran around for a year with 16's and stock steering. I never put much in the box though. Its kinda all what you plan to do with it.
Hey jatonka what do you plan to use for a...
RE: Interaxle Shaft Modification
Hey thanks for explaining this for me guys, i havent been able to get around here much lately just enough to send e mails.
Like ryan said the gears will take the difference, just like the inter axle on all other tandem trucks. The spider gears will be making...
