here is my installation. 2 plates 4mm thick, 2 bolts made out of mild roundiron - don't use screws, they tend to break after welding!
welded to the muffler, cut the pipe and mounted instead the original clamp. 2 heavy duty clamps on bottom and top - heatshield installed - finish!
sounds...
at 1st, i was in hurry. 2nd welding a nut results often in damaged thread. 3rd : selflocking nuts (with nylon rings) are not weldable.
but it is an idea, of course. if you want to install or remove it a few times its worth it.
no curiosity...
i need to make it higher than the sides, otherwise the ammoboxes won't fit.
on the long side you have to bolt it down for stability.
if you brake, heavy parts break thru the wall.
and at last...
i have the plywood at home, nothing to buy.
ist was a spontaneous idea....
i was...
very easy. 6 screws to remove. 2 persons 5 minutes (arms are to short to hold the nuts under the bed  )
i used 8mm bolts and selflocking nuts.
more pics available, if wanted.
maybe camping gear, tools, something else...
i build this box for a camping trip, just to keep the stuff in place.
3 sides, 1 roof, frame of angle-iron, plywood simple riveted to the frame.
the box is bolted to bed, the tailgate makes the 4th side.
el cheapo.....but works!
didn't have some used a mojave heater?

gentlemen, please take care:
don't let your dog jump out of the truck!
my sheppy broke his ankle after jumping out of my tractor. i'm allways lifting him (and he hates it), but one time he was too fast and jumps out.
or use a board and let him walk in.
PS:
i don't meant jumping or fallen...
if you remove the seat bolt the truck fall apart? is this bolt the main-hold-everything-together-bolt?

i use the common ground for 12V and 24V too....
my first and last trial with my dog ends after 50yds. he was not scared in my agritractor or anything else, but the whistler was to much.
what about hearing protection?? http://www.safeandsoundpets.com/page/page/5018957.htm
a full charged battery robs not much power. the drawback from a equalizer is: you discharge your starter batterys. with a 3rd battery for the 12V accesories you can drain the battery and start your truck. the original charging system isn't really big, with spotlights, cooler, cb etc. you maybe...
