Is the fuel from the primary filter supposed to go to the bottom of the injector pump and then go to the secondary filters, before going to the injectors? I havent been able to find the Injector pump in my manuals yet and I wanted to make sure my fuel line connects to the Fuel Injector Fump is...
Is it supposed to be hard to install new lenses on the signal lights? :banghead: It's that dang piece of metal that sticks out of the light housing thats hard to get matched up with the lense. I may have after market lenses?
My cousin saw a lot of Military Vehicles today at a Forrestry commission yard. He said they were about 20/30 Deuces plus some 3/4 ton's and other military vehicles, not sure what he ment about the 3/4 tons unless he ment M37's? Looks like there might be an auction comming up. The name of the...
Having lots of fun with my new CD Manual, but there is a lot of material to look over. Can anyone explain to me how the cargo cover is supposed to rolled up and buckled on each side and what is done with each end?
Well I mean, I know how to roll the sides up and buckle them...
I cant remember what its called but that part between the two back axles, under the springs where the large U-bolts go through, Mine has watter standing in the holes where those U bolts pass through and I know those U bolts are probably eat up with rust where you cant see them. Are they designed...
Well I made my short road trip with any problems, it was only 160 miles and I was worried something was going to break down. I was amazed how smooth she operated cruseing at a steady 55mph at 2300rpm. Believe it or not the ride was smooth on a smooth road. I'm not use to driving my Deuce that...
Can the power connection, the rubber female plug where the power plugs on to the top of the electric fuel pump be replaced without purchasing the whole unit? :freaked: Mine is dry rot and coming apart, which causes my fuel pump to shut off sometimes. [bitchin]
One last question for tonight. [^] Since I changed my oil and filters the other day, seems like it takes too long for the pressure to come up after starting the engine. Is that normal for the Deuce, I didnt notice it till I changed the oil and cant remember what it use to do. [bitchin]
I got me two extra fron hubs for my Deuce, so I can cut the splines out of one of the sets to free up the front axles. I saw where some of your guys were discussing it a while back. :hop: What I would like to know is how much should I get cut out? Just past the splines or do I need to open them...
My second gear is hard to get shifted in most of the time, but all the rest are ok. Is there a synchronizer I can replace to fix it? and how hard is it to go messing around inside the transmission?
Doesn't look like there's much to it by looking at an exploaded view, but looks can be...
Are there any way to adjust the brake shoes on the Deuce? I had one of the rear hubs off and I didnt see anything to adjust  Not all my brakes are breaking
There is a complete VIC-1 Intercom System on ebay right now if anyone is interested. It has the Amp. Cables, Boxes,Headset , ebay item #6506700121
I posted this in the ebay sales section of the forum too.
I tried bleeding the air out of the system like some of you guys suggested, cracking the line at each Injector. My problem is I could only get one line to spray fuel, the rest wouldn't do anything. I screwed the nuts all the way back but I guess the line face had a good seal? Those lines are...
I just found out my Fuel Pump hasn't been working, but the engine seems to run ok. How is that possible? If the system is primed, does the injector pump pull the fuel from the tank? I have a short in the power plug on top of tank. I have noticed that some times when I start the engine it will...
Does anyone know how to wire up the on/off switch for a heater? I'm hooking up a mutt Jeep heater in my Deuce and it didnt have any instructions with the kit. Wiring up the power is what I need, it has a Hi and Low and Off toggle switch. That ceramic piece with the wire thats coiled around it...
Ok, I pulled my right rear wheels to change out a break wheel cylinder, which turned out to be ok. :shakehead: Didnt have that much grease on the bearrings, and the grease looks like regular multi purpose grease unless I'm wrong. Would it be better to use a good quality wheel bearring grease...
Hey you guys think putting some hasps on the cab doors for pad locks, to keep the cab locked would look too Red Neckish? I know I'm going to put locks on the tool box door, and maybe battery box door. So may as well put one on the glove box door too, maybe? What do you guys think?
Man is this pretty or what :freaked: , Have any of you guys installed 4'x8' sheets of blyboard on top of your cargo cover supports, so the cover wont sag between the supports(cant remember the correct name of those curved board things)hee, hee. I remember some one posting about but cant find...
