Hey Dunedigger, Give Scott Innes a call at Refinish Technologies in Owosso, he's in the book. He's a master at repairing, and does it right. He's done a couple cucv t'gates along with complete vehicles for me over the years. The guy is a master craftsman and reasonable too. He does show car...
Thanks Chuck, I'm not able to get on here as often as I want so I get behind on some of the threads. How's the 151 project coming along?
Glad you got it fixed Camdensc.
Make sure the tranny fluid is up too. Not enough and it won't work. Also after sitting for long periods, especially an older worn trans, the fluid will drain down out of the passages, valve body, etc., and it could take anywhere from a few seconds to a minute for the trans to become...
Very interested in the difference the turbo makes. I'm guessing to optimize performance and to prevent damage, the injection pump and or timing will need to be adjusted with the turbo added? Are you putting in a probe for egt's?
Carnac, here's another one for you.
Thanks!

This is to all you guys with parts cucv's out there. I'm in need of a few parts for an M1008, but some parts cross over to the M1009 as well.
The first thing I'm looking for is the interior rear view mirror. I also need the metal mount for the mirror that attaches to the glass.
The second...
Tactical6, a few days in the warm sun will get rid of the wrinkles and it will take a 'set' to your cab. Of course, being in Ohio you might have to wait until MAY..... lol
You can also adjust the bungee cord to get a tighter fit in the back.
The tan top looks good on a green truck.
Top Ho... lol
My order was delivered today. They are not GMA covers. They are insulated. Visually inspected they appear to be okay. I need to compare them to my mil top on the 818. Too much snow and cold here to go out and see how they fit.
Even if they end up not fitting perfectly it's still...
Thinking about an M35, eh?
Well, think about this..... You know the cold sweat feeling you get as you climb into the dentist chair prior to a root canal, the excrutiating pain you have all the way to your toes even while being loaded up with novacaine, the smoke and burning smell coming from...
Welcome dunedigger. I'm originally from Owosso and I usually go out there on the weekends to see my folks. My brother, Pappa-G on this site, lives out there too. Another brother, not a member here, drives his M1009 everyday to work in Owosso. So if you see any mv's running around the Owosso area...
Nice write-up, KD. Ditto on the clutch.
The window handle should never be forced. If it's hard to turn or suddenly gets tough to turn don't force it, it will only cause more damage. The M1009 rear gate windows need an annual PM to keep them operating smoothly and correctly. Most never get that.
