The pioneers are cool! I always wanted one to make a camping trailer. canvas and screen for the lift up sides. a canvas room extension for the rear. The Local search and rescue uses one. for field work. Great Find!

I went with safety cables too! I like them much better than chains.

Don't forget to weld on safety chain loops.

Soyou went with an axle that matches the toyota bolt pattern so you don't need to carry a seperate spare? I lucked out with my trailer being an 8 bolt with GM bolt pattern. Electric brakes too? Looks great! Even just a frame and it looks good!

8 on 6.5 bolt pattern Most after market wheels are lug centric original GM wheels are hub centric. With 8 studs it should not matter. Just order the wheels to fit a 99-11 GM 3/4 truck and you should be fine! I run matching factory GMC wheels on my M101A2.

m37dsl : Awesome Fab skills. What method of cutting do you use? We have a laser at work that gives that clean of a cut. I like the adjustable hitch channel, I did the same on my M101A2 and use a 2" ball or 3" lunette to tow. How does it tow behind the Dodge? A very Nice job!

I fabed my Pintle / Ball combo mount from 1/2" plate cut to the same size as the mounting base on the cast pintle. Then welded it to a piece of 2" heavy wall tube. It has worked well for me.

Are they baffled? I drove in an old milk truck that did not have enough baffles in the tanks. I got sea sick from the sloshing at stop lights.

All Older Gm, Ford, Dodge, all were 8 on 6.5 the hub hole is bigger on the Ford and Dodge. Your 16.5 tires will work, "NO SAFETY BEAD 0n 16.5 rims" Here is a big tire on a trailer to see fitment.
