truck with former ring mount installation

truck with form ring mount installation AR AR Chris, I could buy two trucks for the cost of ring mount without a truck attached to it! Ha Ha Seriously though, I guess they are standard with all trucks for other applications. The light kit never dawned on me. I guess that was because I was...

truck with former ring mount installation

Hello, My truck from Uncle Sam had the sunroof and the u-bolts for the rear legs as remnants of the ring mount. My question is this. Are the plates (2 each) attached to the rear exterior of the cab vertical wall part of the ring mount kit or are all m35 truck equipped with these parts? I do...

    MPG???

O.K. Guys, Fess up. What size tires are you running to get 12 to 13 miles per gallon? I know that there are things that we can do to improve the efficiency but sounds like someone needs to post a short list. It would be really sexy to get that kind of MPG in these trucks. I could afford to...

    WI DOT HELP

Reading is fundamental. I did not originally see the 12,000 lb. limit that you very clearly put into your post. Too much enthusiasm against Big Brother, I guess. There must be a way for your to register this truck as you are a legitimate owner of a former military vehicle and would probably...

    WI DOT HELP

HELP I am probably not but I have an idea. Compare the cost of Farm Plates to Antique Plates (generally 25 years old or more). I would call the DMV main office in the state capital or e-mail them and ask them if there is a Prestige Vehicle registration available in WI. I am in another state but...

    Hauling an M109A3...will this work?

Just as a point of safety, if you air down the tires, remember that they are split rims and can kill someone very easily by lett the outside ring go during reinflation. I have not read up on and am not a tire-related mechanic, but I would assume that you do not want to air up any tires with...

    lost paperwork

Well I must go on record as saying that I DO NOT recommending anyone faxing their SF-97 request or any other request in to G.L. I faxed mine 5 1/2 weeks ago, I have the fax machine receipt showing that G.L.'s machine received the phone call, and now "We're sorry but we have no record of...

    LTD-465-1D P.M. issues

Well I'm getting ready to change my engine oil and filters. I'm going to use the OEM filter cartridges this time while saving the $$$ for the spin-on adapters for next time. My question is this. I purchased two fo the Wix filters and the filter base seal is present but not the gasket for the...

They will snail-mail a letter to you if you are approved. I played scanned the letter and e-mailed to Customer Service when it was received...

    M35A2 data plate

I was able to locate a "Replacement Data Plate" a while back to replace the plate installed by Uncle Sam that was WRONG and damaged. I just picked it up from the engraver and am tickled o.d. green. I have attached a PDF picture of it. Remember that this is not the OEM plate and is not is not...

Found out they ARE for something!

Found out they are for something. There is a hole through every pintle hook for a cotter pin but I use a hardened clip used for clevis pins used on farm implements. The pintle could come open too so the safety pin is a good thing to use too. Jim

Found out they ARE for something!

Found that they are for something This must be one of the things that a new owner should probably replace with new parts when they purchase their truck. Mine have been soaking in the humid Louisiana air for all of their lives. Is there a good or better than OEM replacement out there for us...

    data plate letters

Could someone tell me what size the letters & numbers are supposed to be in the data plate for the weight & dimensions (VIN)? I think that they are 1/8 or 3/16 but I/m not sure. I have a new plate coming and I would like to make sure that I have acquired the correct size stamp set to do the job...

wanting 6 wheels instead of 10

I have a question about the really kooooool looking wheels from O.D.Iron that I was hoping that an onwer-of-them could help me with. With the OEM or original design and installation of the duals on the rear, there are two different lug nuts used (inner & outer). The holes in the wheels for the...

    Rolling legit via ITS corp

Isn't the top of the SF-97 labeled "Certificate of Origin"? If so this is only verifiecation of the fact that the vehicle exists while stating the year of manufacture, serial number, model number, and your name. If this is the case then it is not a title but simply the beginning paperwork for...

    Air horn

One of the trumpets fell out on the road on the way home from G.L.'s lot in Alexandria, Louisiana. It is the longer one and also the lower one as installed. Anyone ever replaced one on their horn? Are there aftermarket horns close in size to replace this one or is better to just buy a...

    LDT-465-1D

I have the 210-34-2-1, 2-2, 210-34P, etc. but non of these manuals actually states including the -1D engine. All of the manuals except the -34P are 03April81 and the 34P is May 1974. I'm assuming that the -1D was added after 1981 but it is really unusal that they did not update the manuals, or...
