Hmm... I had thought they were different? Isnt there an adjustment for the ign switch? It would explain why you would lose start first... then run. It sounds like it slid down the column.

If you find a factory engine thats not totally covered with grease.... they have decals on the valve covers, showing the Detroit Logo.

Primarily the issue with this setup in the older trucks, is interference with the air conditioning.... You might also have some clearance problems with the downpipe off the turbo. Other than that... shouldnt be too much an issue.

Ummm hooking the wires up wrong... OR more likely... they didnt rebuild the alternator properly, and its NOT an isolated ground alternator.

The mechanical 6.5 pump can put out more fuel than a 6.2 pump... only really matters if you are putting a turbo on.

It depends on how destroyed is destroyed. If its the black piece that basically trim's the gauges and lights, its identical to any of the civvy diesel counter parts for trucks with idiot lights. A non-diesel will work but you will have to cut the hole for the wait/water in fuel light. If you...
