I repainted my truck in the NATO cammo scheme and lettered the truck to my son's outfit he served with in Iraq and uised a truck number that coincides with a unit he drove.
As far as parades I dress in woodland camo, not to pretend or pose, but simply to be in sync with my truck and how it...
Overheating at speed is an indication of a bad fan clutch.
The reason speed inhibits cooling is the turbulence that develops in front of the vehicle which actually reduces airflow when you exceed a certain speed. You already have the understanding based on your narrative that beyond a certain...
I read the EBAY listing and it seems like a fairy tale the seller is spinning.
God help anyone that buys the truck. Its a pig in a poke at this point.

I sprayed probably 100 gallons of Centauri acrrylic enamel with a binks #7 (siphon feed design) in the good old days and that setup seemed to work ok. Nowadays. pains is MUCH MORE expensive and solvent based paint is being phased out. Also most pigment materials are thicker as well.
I...
I Just repainted my deuce in 3 color. Figure about 45% green. 35% Black and 20% brown. I found the same ratio to be in effect when I painted my Suburban 3 color also.
If you read the TM's regarding the painting of camo, they generally recommend painting the entire vehicle green, and then...
I have an M35A2C with an S-280 shelter. I have several reasons for going this way as opposed to an M109.
The S-280 is pretty EMP proof and also is pretty well insulated. As nice as it is to have A/C in any shelter, heating it is more important. I can live without windows and feel quite snug...
I would be honest and say that the bed will need a full length frame if you want to have it not twist and bend like a pretzel under load or on uneven terrain. The height would be low also if you do not put a frame underneath it.
Just my two cents

I wanted to add another thought to this. When I replaced my original soft top with a new top, I fitted the top and made sure it was straight and on the truck correctly. When I was done I found I counld not snap the top to the windshield frame where the snap was located.
I pondered this for a...
If you do have to remove some oil pull the rear sump plug with the truck sitting level. The rear sump holds about 2 quarts, maybe a little more. I would review the PM articles referenced in one of the posts in the thread about oil levels in the multifuel engine and how to check it. Severl...
When I shut my deuce off the ?? vent leaks for about 10 seconds and then stops. I am not sure if it is the comrpessor unloader or another vent. It may be normal is what I am saying. Does the truck hold air for a while when you shut it off. They all leak air to an extent, but less is better...
The indactor is a self contained mechanism mounted directly to the dash behind the Bezel. I have not had mine apart in a long time so I may be a little foggy here, but the basic idea is that the indicator is spring loaded inside the indicator assembly itself. The rotation of the column shift...
Niferous, check and make sure the little cable (I cannot remember if it is some sort of synthetic or wire) that connects the indicator to the shroud on the lower column (the part that turns with the shifter) is on the pulley that allows the cable to turn and connect to the indicator itself...
The fuel lines on my deuce are copper; (at least the ones from the tank to the primary and the primary to the secondary filters). I would guess the logic is that the line will "crush" and seal before rupturing and leaking fuel. Also, the copper does not precipitate rust and other debris like...
I replaced my front fuel line. I spliced a section of good line with compression fittings leaving the good portions in place that were part of the original damaged line. Some may say this is cheating to not replace the whole thing, but I cannot see where it actually makes a difference as long...
additives, slobber
The original post was about wet stack after startup. I am assuming that the original author was asking about the stack spewing gobs of wonderful black stuff on start. Mine does. It is mostly water and soot. Cap the stack, and make sure water cannot seep into your stack if it...
On my deuce I installed a set of JATONKA oil filter adapters to reduce the amount of time it takes before the oil pressure rises. I am pleased with them to be quite honest.
I start my deuce as follows:
1) After checking the oil, and coolant, I initially crank a cold engine with the engine...
