    Working on the M1078 LMTV

That's what I was thinking by looking at the tread. Thanks for the review!

Can we make this into a pets/mv thread :clinto::driver:

    Dan's M1081 Pick-up and Build

Well I put it all back together this weekend. Drive side went smooth, passenger side handle didn't go well. The metal that pivots broke, and it looks like it was weak already because it didn't take much. I will now need to source a new handle.

    Where do the 3116's fail

I'm interested as well, as I have the m1081 which should be the same engine spec and m1078

I like the goodyear tires a lot better. Since you've had both does ride quality or road noise change at all?

    Thoughts on this M1028A2

Doesn't hurt to throw out what you think it's worth. Could always sell the bed, but don't be surprised if trying to find a clean dually bed takes a while.

    A/C unit questioins. M1078A1

I will end up getting A/C for my M1081. I will say before asking the same questions in this thread that many others have, read every A/C thread there is on here. The guys who are working towards getting the system up and running are very knowledgeable because they've done it first hand. I don't...

Glad it was a safe and successful trip, but sorry to hear about the AC.

Maybe the tires on the trailer aren't aired up completely but it looks to be shorter than the bed on the lmtv. I thought they were the same height? I do see the you have different tires on the trailer than the truck too.

K1 starter relay on power distribution board

I completely agree as I only carry the 12v & 24v 5 prongs in my kit.

K1 starter relay on power distribution board

I ordered mine online. There are 4 different relay types. 12v 4 prong, 12v 5 prong, 24v 4 prong and 24v 5 prong. I would first (if you can) bench test them to see if they're working before ordering a bunch of new relays because they will add up and get expensive. Check continuity on 30 and 87...

    Dan's M1081 Pick-up and Build

Here is the box I constructed for the truck with a 12v outlet, meter, and 2 USB slots. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01BXTX11Q/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 & https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005T7RPFC/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

The only thing holding all this together is a small pin through the cam. Use a small punch to get it out.

    LMTV fan runs frequently

My fan runs constantly. Any harm in this?

    Dan's M1081 Pick-up and Build

Here are the handles broken down. What I did was took the wedges out of the lock mechanism and there's a number on each one. Then I got a couple blank ilco keys and I nailed it in the first key cut. Here are some pictures of what I did. I only cut one side to see if the cuts were the right...

    Dan's M1081 Pick-up and Build

I've been slacking on pictures. So far I've adding a box with 12v outlets and usb. I have also added a backup camera with the 7" screen. This morning I took out the door locks and I'm making some keys for them. Getting a lot done!

Auction date changes, MK48 and Hemtt recall

I noticed that too. I tried searching for it with no luck. All makes sense now.
