I know this has been covered here in SS before. BUT, it needed to be brought up again as it is 'that time of the year' for new projects and ppl getting out for the first time after winter.

Actually pretty easy to repair.
Hand wire brush the area clean, brush a good amount of flux in the joint, heat the area up with a propane torch and apply acid core solder.
Make sure you do not use an access of heat, just enough to get the solder to flow. The trick is to get the metals just...
The latest and greatest U-Haul car trailer will work with the M1009 and M1008 with no problems. The M1008 rear tires will be approx 3-4" from the end though.
You have to order/reserve these trailers as they are far and few between...
