There is something I don't understand here. The spare tire does not have a CTIS wheel valve, weight, or any tubing. Simply mount it and use it. If you have another wheel besides the flat you removed with a cracked piece of tubing, temporarily remove the tubing from the wheel with the flat...
What you are talking about is a classic cra* design on the A3. The two hoses that come from the air actuator go into the Y-fitting. This is bled into the semi-rigid wire-wrapped black hose you mentioned. Every time you turn the steering wheel, the wire-wrapped hose is flexed, but this type of...
First, read the TMs. Second, remove all battery cables and clean all connections. Recharge each batter separately with a 12 VDC charger. Re-attach all battery cables. Turn on accessory switch and attempt to start engine. If the engine starts, check charging circuit output. The needle...
I would recommend flushing the system using the drain and fill method several tmes to make sure you get the water out. Then change the filter. The correct filter for your winch is a FleetGuard HF6710. I found an NOS filter on Ebay real cheap. I've already purged the motor oil from my Allison...
I think a waiver for both Steel Soldiers and the GA Rally are an excellent idea for any event such as the GA Rally. It will only take a second to sign and I don't think anyone would object.
Plus, the rubber mats in the A3 cause rust and corrosiion under the mat. There is no such thing as an M35 that doesn't leak water. Someone can always spray bedlner on the floor. I've considered doing that myself.
This was the best rally ever and those that missed it have no idea what a great time they missed!
I agree with many of the recommendations already made, but here are my two cents.
SUBJECT: Sanitation
DISCUSSION: The number of portable toilets was inadequate and they were not cleaned...
This was my third GA Rally and it was definitely the best. People that didn't go have no idea that this is the best rally in the country! I can't believe I have to wait until next year. I'm already making plans.
Rossbart,
The three choices for the transmission are:
1. Motor oil - same as the Army used. Not the best choice in my opinion.
2. TranSynd by Castrol. Excellent fluid but very very expensive.
3. Dexron III equivalent.
I switched to Dexron III. Do not use any other Dexron as they are not...
I made it home safe after 3-1/2 hours back to Hiawassee. I would have made it sooner but I broke down again in the A3. I could only make 30 mph when I finally rolled in. Woody looked at it and thinks it's the high pressure pump failing. This was the best rally yet! I even broke even on...
Thanks much for letting me ride several times in your M37! I really enojoyed it and thanks for your work on the trails. I finally got home after a 3-1/2 hour drive and only broke down once on the return trip in my A3. I broke down twice on the way down. Still haven't completely unloaded. I need...
Where is the meter at when idling? Is it on the mark as it should be. As others have said, the only thing in common is the belt. You can usually look at the belt and see if it has been slipping. You might want to just go ahead and replace the belt since it probably needs it anyway if you...
The A3 is all packed and loaded up. Departing Hiawassee at 0900 and meeting redthegreendog in Baldwin. From there we meet up with Gunnermac and Streamline in Danielsville at 1200, and possibly some others. Should arrive around 1300 - 1330. I had one hickup. When I went to load the A3, one...
It's still pouring down rain here in Hiawassee! I bought me a new rainsuit today, otherwise loading the truck would be impossible. My bows are in place, so I'll hang a tarp over the truck, clean the water and leaves out of the bed and lay another tarp on the bottom. Then, load my stuff and...
One trick to check the compresson and see if a valve is sticking open is to leave the fuel shut off and engage the starter. The engine should turn over evenly. If you get a skip where the engine speeds up, that cylinder has lower compression. Mind you, this is a very primitive qualititive...
The convoy from North GA is now growing again. Redthegreendog will be joining up in Baldwin. Another truck may be joining me in Hiawassee. Anyone else wanting to join the convoy, let us know.
Well, I finally got my steering air leak fixed on the A3. Haven't loaded anything yet, but have most of it staged for loading. Been doing PM, topping off fluids, air in tires, etc. I can't load yet because although it is bright sun now, it's supposed to start raining in a few hours and...
