What T case do you have NP 208 /205 . the 208 in my 1008 went bad was an 208 its an easy fix most trans shops might still have one in there back room.
I still think your first track was a better choice with transducer to re cal .od.

Find a good starter & alt shop have them build nippendenzo 24V gear reduction starter as relay under the dash 40 amp is not enough 60amp works better no hassel at all. I did it to m1009 in feb also checked all wires for contac Pos+ & ground's -
just finish M1028A2 went through wire Harn...
There a wire purple in color that they have cut off with this is sel wire to send elec. current to actvate the starter. Big red cable to pos + to Pos on power Strip. on the bulk head. this will make silple. repair.
