I really like the idea! Great thinking, the only thing I would do differently is start with a longer wheel base truck like the m36a2 with a 109 box on the rear. If I could avoid cutting the box I would, there is already less space than you would think in an M109 box for a bunch of camper doodads...
Ended up going with the interlock. Relocated the water heater breaker to the MAIN position.
Put the new MAIN beneath it and added another MAIN (for the generator) right next to it. Installed the Interlock between the two.
Doubled up a couple of the 120v breakers.
Also installed a power inlet...
islandguydon, this might help. I just used a small piece of bent stock and clamped mine to the hard top brace using two bolts through the bottom mounting holes only. It is on there very tightly and there is no vibration or movement at all, good ground too. Cheap and easy but not perfect, no need...
Yes that is a great article from our local paper, thank you for posting! I forgot to mention, the ROKON will make an appearance in the upcoming Expendables part 2.
Hey fellas.
Been a while since I have been 'active'. I got a new job back in May and wanted to make sure it stuck before I posted anything about it.
I am now working for ROKON International building the ROKON 2x2 Mototractor. Many of you may be familiar with what the ROKON is but for those of...
I'm building one that will mount to the outside of the windshield frame like the ones on a wrangler. This way I can leave clearance to remove the top, I had also considered giving it a 90 degree folding capability so it will still face forward if the windshield is folded flat against the hood.
I think I am going to use the Transfer Switch.
Question; Someone told me today that I could disconnect one of the coils on my hot water heater to reduce the watts needed from the generator by half (but effectively taking 2x as long to heat the water). Could it work for this situation? Would I...
I think I might have the perfect setup for a cheap interlock. Here are a couple pics of my breaker panel, there is an empty spot next to my main breaker where it looks like I can install a feed breaker for my generator. What do you guys think?
Excellent, thanks for the help guys! I'm gonna sell this one and get me the right one. Good thing I didn't pay too much for it.
Any suggestions as to what kind of setup might be better for me?

Hey Fellas!
Just picked up a used Pro Tran 10 circuit Transfer Switch that I will be running with my MEP-002A.
Here is my problem, because I bought it used I don't have any instructions or diagrams for the install. I will probably be having a professional install it but nevertheless I have some...
