Planning on making one out of Garlock tomorrow, unless I find a better alternative.

    sending unit 77 m880

Anyone know where I can get just the gasket? I had to swap tanks and have a good, working sending unit on hand. Omix-Ada sells one for the Early CJ5/M38a1 that looks like the same one, but I don't wanna spend the money on it and find out that it's the wrong size/pattern.

    Our "new" M882

It has an early-mid '80s front axle underneath it, with those crappy automatic lockouts that never, ever worked right, at least not in my experience. Supposedly the gear ratios in it don't match the rear, and the front driveshaft wasn't hooked up when I took delivery of it. I have never tried...

    Tintable bedliner w/Gillespie?

I've heard of Durabak, and I don't want use it. I want to paint my M882 383 green, and I want the inside of the bed to match the rest of the truck.

    Tintable bedliner w/Gillespie?

I would really prefer to spray it on.

    Tintable bedliner w/Gillespie?

Has anyone here ever used Gillespie Coatings to tint the tintable U-Pol Raptor Liner, Or the SEM Tintable Bedliner? If so, how did it work out? Googling around a bit online, I found that the tintable SEM is compatible with enamel (which the Gillespie paint is, of course). But the U-Pol folks...

Empty Sprinter van going from NC to MI and back in September.

We will be headed up to Michigan on September 4th or thereabouts for a Family reunion, and plan on being back down here on the 10th or thereabouts. Can carry stuff like engines, transmissions, tires, wheels...pretty much anything that's NOT ginormous, but too big/expensive to go via UPS or...

    Deuce master cyl. tec tip.

You need to remove this plug in order to remove the master cylinder as well! I believe the TM does make mention of it. It's one of those "gotcha" moments that bit me after blasting profanities all over the place for a good steady 45 minutes. The master that I replaced it with did *not* have the...

    Our "new" M882

Decided to address the braking issue whilst waiting on the engine parts. Thought for sure we would find blown wheel cylinders and shot bearings in the rear, but things actually did not look too bad back there! Turns out the master cylinder was leaking in the rear where the actuator rod depresses...

Official 2013 SS Georgia Rally Info SSGR13 thread

I dunno, some of those hillsides I was on least year were tricky enough (at least for me) to circumnavigate when they were dry. Dread to think what it might be like in those woods after a little rain has fallen. But hey, I'm open to trying new things. MV Woodstock might be an absolute blast!

Official 2013 SS Georgia Rally Info SSGR13 thread

I hope to be down sometime between the 4th and the 6th, with my M35a2 w/w ("Sad Sack"), my M105a2 with S250 shelter ("michigandons' Domicile") and my "Faux 150 TAP". I reserved the same full hookup site I was in last year, for lack of knowledge of a better spot. [thumbzup]

    1976 Resto and Modernization

The Summit K6900 cam is roughly the same specs as most big name RV cams, and considerably cheaper. Just a useful tidbit that I picked up over at Ramcharger Central. Other than bored .020" over ('cause the cylinders were wore out), a K6900 cam, and a double roller timing set, the 318 in our...

    M880 radiator,

Why not just have your existing one recored? That's what I intend on doing.

    Our "new" M882

The parts truck I bought is going to give me better mirrors and a blackout drive light, and a lot of other little things that I was shopping for on eBay. Oh, and woody sez its makes a good spot to lay underneath too. ;)

    Our "new" M882

Two of the cylinders failed to clean up as nicely as we hoped. Not only that, one of the pistons ended up with a piece broken off the ring land when we went to take the rings off, so we made the Executive Decision to load the short block up and take it to a local machine shop to have it done...
