I was on the road by 0430 yesterday. Was hooked up and headed for home by about 1000 I think? Anyway, the Eastover armory is a very laid back place, the GL guy was very cool and helpful. Wasn't expecting him and I to hafta shuffle trailers around BY HAND in order to get mine out, but I'm making...
FWIW...I used a Power Twist belt to run the alternator on a Fairmont two-stroke in an M9 rail speeder. The only alternative to that would have been to remove a huge cast iron flywheel of of a tapered shaft that had been mated together since the Truman Administation. :o I put a gazillion miles on...

I not only bought a winch deuce from him earlier this spring, but also helped him sell another truck shortly thereafter. I was also treated like royalty on subsequent visits and was hoping to conduct more transactions with him in the future.
My late Father was also a 30 year Operating Engineer, so I also enjoy getting behind the controls of that stuff whenever the opportunity presents itself..which doesn't seem to be very often these days. :(
Would you happen to be the gentleman with the blue pickup with the MVPA sticker in the rear window who was in the process of loading up some very ancient looking components when I was leaving?
Lots of cool hardware scattered about. The warehouses have an awesome"old school" aura about them. Dark and musty, yet VERY clean with a well organized appearance. What's not to love? :mrgreen:

I'm from Michigan too (as if the screen name doesn't give it away:wink:), and I *work* at NCSU. I just bought a deuce this spring, but I've had an on again/off again desire to own one since kindergarten. I also have an M101a3, and have an M105a2 and an S250 on the way...
