I searched smokstak but I couldn't find much info. What kind of adapter did you have to make and was it difficult? Did you start with a Yanmar with the Martin Diesel adapter?
I should have my 016B/Yanmar apart soon. I'm thinking about putting a larger head on the Yanmar. They put 7HP Yanmars on 3kW units and mine came with a 10HP so I'm thinking it can turn a 5kW head easily. I'd love to try a MEP-017 head if I could find one cheap enough.
Either way, I should...
The SX460 is simple. See attachment. It should work. At lease I convinced myself it would work on a 016B when I bought it. I like the underfrequency rolloff it has.
I have an SX460 sitting right here. I'm glad to hear it will work because I bought it thinking it would but not knowing for sure. One of my 701As was missing some parts so I'm going to make it a lighter version, omitting a lot of stuff, but keeping the like new Yanmar motor.
Care to share that info here? I sold one to a guy in MS and he only needed a bill of sale. In LA the DMV are like nazis, they requires stuff that the law doesn't specify.
GL sends you a packet with everything you need to register your trailer when you pay for the SF97. Well, in LA you need...
I read somewhere that only 2000 Canadian 101s were made, and the US version hasn't been made since the 60s. I assume this means supply/demand will make them more expensive than the US M101s.
BTW, 101s are coming up soon in Alabama.
24V is 24V. A 24V DC meter from a Humvee should work fine, unless it is some kind of wacky meter. If it is just a straight forward DC meter it should work fine.
Ah, OK. I was told the 3kW reg would work on 3k, 5k, and 10K units, but it stands to reason that would be the 3k, 5k, and 10k 3600RPM gens, MEP-016, MEP-017, and MEP-018 That makes perfect sense now.
Thanks.
I got 3 M101A2s in the last year for under $300 each. Only one had canvas but all three had bows. You just have to be patient and bid what you want to pay. The lady at Fort Polk said they had a large number of trailers coming up when my last two were picked up there.
